Bad site linking to my site

As a was checking out google webmasters a noticed a site linking to mine 877 times. When I looked at the site it says it has been hacked and the site is blank now but the links are still appearing in tools even a few weeks later.

I know eventually these links will go away, but you think it hurt my site at all. I do not link to the website and I know Google says you should not be penalized for sites linking to you but 877?

While maybe you should not be penalized, what about the 877 anchor text links? What this site linked back to me with is my #1 anchor text, that could hurt my search results right?

Is this an example of someone spamming my site? FYI - the site is mygoldpoker

Yes doesnt really work like that Google should not penalise you for that. If the link on the site was set up naturally and links to your site.

But you do need to ask yourself how the hell Google knows whether you set links up or they were set up naturally.

Basically i think it works on anchor text and the way you set links up. Plainly and simply

I think it would be more of a problem if your site is pretty much new and you acquired 877 backlinks in just a snap with your most important keyword as the anchor. This case will put your site on filter.
