Default Banc de Binary AM admit shaving and scraping affiliates

I got this email from Roy Daniels, Banc de Binary admitting shaving of affiliates:

    Dennis,

I like the way you’re thinking
Taking advantage of the many brokerages is the right thing to do. However you should know, that many brands will NOT be able to pay you full commission and/or will “shave” your commission. Pay attention to whom you’re doing business with.
Regarding our partnership, as much as I would like paying you $450 CPA and above, it won’t make sense business wise.
You don’t send enough traffic and your player value is not enough in order to pay you what you’re asking for. If I’ll do that, the campaign will have a negative ROI.
When others offering you 500 and 600 CPA you should know that many times they just won’t have the funds to pay you after the paid to everyone else.
Anyway, I would love to see you promoting us better as well as our new and exciting sub-brand called option.FM, but no sense in paying $450 CPA.
I am sure that one way or another, now or in the future we will make together a lot of money. It’s just up to you
    Have a great week bro,
    Roy.

I must be missing something here, because I don't see how he's admitting anything. Seems to me he's just saying others are doing it.

The title and opening line definitely read like you're saying BDB are shaving - if that's not the case it might be worth changing it to clarify.

Not only that - it smacks of a desperate AM simply saying don't go with those guys offering more they won't pay you.
    That's not an admission - that's a slur of a competitor.

It's might be true - it might not - but the motivation for the AM to say that in this email is to prevent the affiliate from jumping ship.

I kind of agree with the AM.

If someone really offers you something like $600 just like that (even in binary options) then you should seriously ask questions if they are legit.

But at the same time, Banc de Binary are shady as hell. And you most likely already know this, yet you wanted to promote them. Pretty much anyone who's an affiliate in binary knows that BDB are pretty much one of the most shady companies out there. From shaving affiliates to outright stealing people's money, lying about being licensed in USA, lying about being licensed in the UK, they have done it all. Not sure why anyone would want to promote them, especially considering that there ARE other and more legit brands out there that even want to pay you more what BDB pays you.

True to above post 24option and Topoption are far better choice and stable partner. As for the email the dude sounds reasonable.

Interesting. Talked to many affs at the London conference and it seems that BDB are now the ones not paying affiliates or make false promises. Or just drop the CPA for whatever reason (or none at all).
Been in this binary industry for over 4 years now and my learnings so far:
    Stay away from brokers:
    - That lie about regulations and licensing
    - That are involved in any sort of make money/get rich quick schemes (yes, BDB does a lot of that)
    - That work with spammers
    - That make promises that sound unreasonable in regards to your size/power
    - That hire account managers whose only task it is to get people to trade as much as possible with the highest risk settings and even lie about the fact that they do not earn money when you earn money with tradings

Seriously, there are not many brokers left now. BDB surely has everything sorted on that list...

Just my 2cents and advice for the new affiliates in this industry.

    Thanks for your comment!

I am not new in this industry, I know that BDB had to pay couple of fines to CySEC recently, but thought it was still good brand to work with. Wanted to meet them at LAC, but everyone at their booth was gone by 3 pm on Saturday. Oh well

This is common among many of the brokers. I know that most brokers have a failsafe in case they fall prey to a scam which they use to skim from affiliates to ensure that they always get a good ROI.

It would be sensible as an affiliate to have your own tracking system setup so that you can compare and contrast results, especially if you are delivering large volumes of players.

    Dealt with binary option brokers for a few years now. I have had some tell me that by offering higher CPA it basically raises the QFTD (qualified first time depositors). So for example you could have this;

    Leads 10
    FTD 3
    QFTD 1

So if I was earning 450 I would only earn 450, where as if I asked for a lower FTD such as 300 I could get the QFTD to 3 giving me 900 payout instead. So sometimes requesting a higher CPA is not always a wise decision. It is important when asking for CPA's to ask what makes it a qualified lead and FTD.
