One of Banksy's best know images, Girl With Red Balloon, is shredded moments after being sold at auction in London.

Moments after the painting was sold it started to shred itself.

Strange, I wonder what this will lead to?

Sculptures or statues that disintegrate or blow up/fall apart, or will it move to other areas of auctions like classic cars or high end real estate?

That blatant marketing gimmick is exactly the art itself of course. This is why somebody who understands the joke we live in will pay 2M for the ashes.

If you can throw away millions like this, you had to throw away a lot of human attributes, so it means that you are completely alone in this world and you can and will pay a lot just for a glimpse of understanding
