Thanks, seemed pretty good all round. The free pastries were a double-edged sword.

Would be nice to solve the perennial problem of the sound in the conference rooms. Sitting in the front row, and therefore with no speaker pointing directly at me, I couldn't hear a word and had to walk out of the SEO panel discussion. Oh, and Paul Riley's late and shambolic appearance was extraordinarily unprofessional, but noone seemed bothered. I assumed he was paid for his time, but maybe he was just returning a favour.

Oh, and Rank, a listed participant if not actual stall holder, are ignoring my emails. Ho-hum.

2 things.

1. As far as I am aware, Paul never got paid. In fact none of the speakers did.

2. Paul stepped in at the last moment because another speaker, who was due to be there, couldn't be.

Just to reiterate what Jason said, basically Paul stepped in with 24hrs notice following two speakers cancelling on us (Fantomaster and Frank Watson) for very valid reasons.... The taxi driver then took him to the wrong Fira venue.... And yep we don't pay speakers... Initially we paid for the likes of the founder of Lastminute.com but no one rated them so we stopped and were just extra nice to people so they speak for free

Anyways = You already know I agree re the conf venue - Not sure why they didn't build the roofs this time and will investigate
