Here are some names and numbers for you guys. I'm pretty sure that Gordon and Yashin own a part of the casinos. That's the impression that I got when having dinner with them long ago:

I am really sure Gordon does not own part of the casino - He was just an affiliate manager and got out the industry a while back - I am friends with him on facebook and will let him know about this thread so he can post if he likes - The same goes for Irwin.

On another note - If someone gets an advert donw I am happy to run full page adverts free of charge in iGaming Business (Circulates to 7,000+ operators, software, payement, affiliates, etc executives) and iGB Affiliate Magazine (Circulates to 5,000+ affiliates and operators)

I would to have a link also for the video if you posted it already somewhere. And I'm planning to spread their bad reputation through suggesting GrandPrive to be blacklisted to most online casino reviewer's list.

Count me in to your campaign there.

If someone provides the content and graphic material then I will organize it in a format that is of magazine quality and submit the final product to IGB for publication.

Alex, I'll be happy to have us put something together on that front, and we'll run it in the GPWA Times magazine as well after getting feedback here..

Looks like utitilizing PRWeb is out of the equation now.

Washington State Orders PRWeb to Cease & DesistShare
    Today at 12:39pm
Many igaming marketing and PR professionals that relied on PRWeb to spread their stories around the internet were left scrambling Tuesday morning when the company abruptly banned all igaming news after it received a Cease and Desist Order from the State of Washington, USA.

“I apologize for the abrupt notice,” said Cari Lyle, PRWeb’s East Coast Manager of Editorial Services. “This was not a decision that PRWeb willingly made. We received a Cease and Desist letter from the Washington State Online Gambling Commission requiring that we immediately halt the distribution of press releases promoting online gambling sites and content. As PRWeb is located in Washington State, we are required to be in compliance with Washington State laws.”

As a company that specializes in igaming PR this naturally has an impact on our business. However, PRWeb wasn't the only distribution channel Lyceum Media uses and life will go on!

Our clients’ stories made it to tens of thousands of portals and blogs via PRWeb so this is definitely a bit of a setback, but actually, we use other wire services that get even better exposure, and we use lots of other distribution channels like email, our own syndicated news network, blog postings, and social media.

For many online business people, the main value in using PRWeb is that most well crafted stories posted there get picked up by Google and Yahoo News. Thanks to our relationship with OnlineCasinoNews.com and iGamingBusiness.com (both considered ‘authority sites’ by Yahoo and Google News) Lyceum Media clients’ news usually winds up in the big news syndication services anyway.

Bringing your news to prospective players is only one reason to submit a story to an online newswire service. For those that pay the price, they also support Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns. My concern is that PRWeb may be forced to remove all the optimized newes releases we've paid big money to have permanently archived there.

PRWeb charges $200 to include activated URLs and anchor text links – the kind of thing that search engine spiders love to find. We have happily invested in upgrading our news release submissions due to the long term benefit. And we will continue to optimize our news releases and upgrade our newswire postings at other wire services. If Washington State forces PRWeb to take down its casino news archive then we’re going to be looking for compensation.

In a way I suppose you get used to this sort of thing, working in this business. It’s still kind of a slap in the face though, ya? Fortunately there’s plenty of fish in the sea. With other newswires, we’re doing some really cool stuff with video news releases that’s getting our stories out to a whole new, much bigger audience.

I've always ranked well for the casino names, these are the top 4 of my page view stats. This is the last couple of months. Since I never got a chance to put anything substantial up, I'll try to increase the effort.

    Spin Palace Casino 14.65 % (4137)
    Ruby Fortune Casino 9.643 % (2723)
    Casino Grand Bay 9.548 % (2696)
    Jupiter Club Casino 7.224 % (2040)

In my searches on google.com (no language/search filters) I still (and have for years) rank 2ND just below them for casino grand bay, grand bay casino and jupiter club casino (under visualintensity.com). At the least. Straight name searches is, and is always, where my traffic comes from. But they bring traffic.

It used to be the other way around. GP casinos on top.

Wagershare should be happy I caved in to the CSC option. Could've been getting similar promotion.

We need to create as much transparency as possible with players about the situation and hope the financial consequences of that transparency are their downfall. We need to demonstrate a zero-tolerance approach to what they have done and we need to do everything we can to ensure the marketplace as a whole recognizes that being a rogue is a bad business decision.

So how do we do this?

In my opinion webmasters as a group need to work to educate players that Grand Prive is not to be trusted, and that players, casinos, and webmasters need to collectively take a stand against organizations like Grand Prive for the good of the industry and for our own personal good.
Welcome to the had it up to here club.

Marginalising those players that do speak up without pulling their punches, telling them to get a life, ignoring them, banning them, has been the way of it almost across the board Michael.

An Example: If I pulled no punches, and turned this post into why webmasters don't have enough instant clout with a loyal base of players, i'd be accused instantly of derailing, and would be thrown to the wolves.

Possible Solution: All professional webmasters who have a player consultant or advocate on board, need to get them out and about spreading the word that "players, casinos, and webmasters need to collectively take a stand against organizations like Grand Prive for the good of the industry and for our own personal good".

When the video is ready, I hope the embed code will be available. I'd like to post it on my sites for visitors and keep it at the head of the APCW video list.

On another note, my site re-write goes up this week and I have a new blacklist page for Grand Prive with links to those affiliates I could gather. I would like to see some co-ordination of cross-linking so that we can lock it in. How about an up to date list of participating blacklist pages so that we can post all of them on our pages. I'm sure I didn't get them all...

I was never an affiliate of Grand Prive but can't stand the injustice to fellow members. It happened to me with Hype - I know we bit the bullet because they disappeared so it's not quite the same. But - the money's gone.

    Hi Alex,

WOW have no idea what this thread is all about but thanks for the heads up anyways.

Guys, it would be great to own a casino, I'd probably be in Mauritius right now sipping cocktails if I had that much money, but alas still have to work a day job.

Yashin, Irwin & Myself are no longer in the industry but thanks for thinking of us tho.

Hope you guys are all well. Stay in touch.

Obviously eCOGRA has not taken any steps since all GP casinos and poker rooms are still listed on http://www.ecogra.org/approved.aspx?OP=P

I would suggest a strongly worded protest letter is written to eCOGRA and Microgaming signed by as many webmasters as possible. Maybe GPWA may take the initiative here.

Don't forget easily and I try very hard to never give up. I been covert on the matter, spreading the word sorta of speak. I do have rouge page for Grand Deprive and will make it public shortly despite my reservations in doing so.

We as a community should never lose sight of these Grand Prive thieves. Thanks for the reminder Engineer.

    Yes thanks for checking in.

We have incorporated suggestions from the community into a new script.
We are also gathering some graphics for the video and will have it all posted the first part of next week for everyone to comment on. After that we are a go to produce the video. We will make sure it gets out to everyone!

Without a doubt the APCW will be a thorn in the side of Grand Prive until they do the right thing.

If you read Here Andrew Beveridge (ecogra) says that webmasters do not understand all the facts regarding this Grand Prive issue, and a certain affiliate watchdog (cap?) did not take up GP's offer to explain the situation properly, hence GP are being judged too harshly (erroneously?).

As a player who reads these boards, i'm not especially happy with being fed differing stories.

Can we have the story straight between the operator, thier overseers (ecogra etc) and the webmaster individuals and groups next time, before written and audio/video warnings to players are issued that their funds could be at risk etc.

    Cheers.

Well I would assume eCOGRA is just relaying what GP told them. Pass the buck so to speak.

eCOGRA is in a tough spot here.

I'd love to hear GP's justification for doing a runner with our money. What possible justification could they have?

I think we've done all we can. Videos, articles etc. They are probably laughing it off and have sadly gotten away with it.
