Default BEER & Affiliates - How much is too much?

    Hello,

Once upon on a time, I was showcasing an affiliate program at a webmaster conference.
My stand was quite small and I didn't have any bikini girls beside me. Nobody was stopping by my booth until a friend from the industry (Ian) got the idea to buy 2 cases of cold beer and bring it on the table. We put a sign "FREE COLD BEER" and affiliates came to the booth right away.

As an affiliate, how many beers you have a day?

    Cheers,

    Connie Burstin

Lots apparently, my hand is always occupied with one lol. Seriously msa,c geese I am slurring my skjaj typing.

I think there is a time and place for few. Advertising free cold beer would definitely draw a crowd.

I rarely drink alcohol but when I do I go all in. Beers in week on average throughout the year maybe one. So that would be 52 beers/year.

    Hi Greek,

52 beers a year for a greek person?
Greeks will not be proud of you if they know that.

I have 3 beers a week (One on Monday to start the week, another one on Friday and one over the weekend).

I've learned to drink more beer when I got involved with the gaming industry.

    Cheers,

I found that out this summer in Greece. Just something about mixing booze, dancing, and handguns scares the crap out of me lol.

Beer is my number one choice of alcoholic beverage. During the week I may have wine but doesn't count towards my yearly total.

I figure going to conferences carries a bit of stress and having a few helps.

add tequila and whisky and your booth will be occupied for the entire day.

But offering free beer will always attract affiliates as will free copies of playboy (and playgirl) or even sticking up a Nintendo Wii stand also.

Think lowest common denominator, works every time.

Not sure how much I drink now but its a lot less since the kids were born!

Last year at I hit ICE and then C*P Euro in London, partied every night then on the final night just stepped out the shower and I realised that I was yellow.

Needless to say I stayed in that night and drank nothing but water...and lots of it.

    Chalkie dont like a beer!

A beer is no good if it does not come with at least 4 more!

Then again 5 beers are no good without a litre of orange juice.

And the orange juice is no good without a bottle of russias finest!

When my doctor asks how many units i drink and how many cigarettes i smoke, he suddenly changes the subject after my answer. No idea why i am sure!

Anyone got the link for AA?

Back when I was living in Costa Rica and even Curacao I must say I went through about 10 beers a day and started drinking at lunch time. It was the norm.

Now I tend to only drink once in a blue moon...

    Hi Connie,

The only time I drink is while at a conference or vacation so I think it's a great idea! Throw in a table dance for the guys and your stand should be jumping with folks the entire event. lol

They do 3 conferences a year, the evening parties are sponsored by **** cider companies and high strength largers. It's all about resisting the temptation.

About 3 years ago while working for a major Telecommunication company i used to be a real hard core beer drinker.
I would drink maybe 5 times a week and it would be 15-20 pints each time.

It was crazy!!!! LOL - took me a whole month to get it out of my system. Sweats!!!! LOL

Now i have not had a beer in almost 4 years. I always loved beer and going out playing pool and poker with the crowed... fun times!!!!

Recently though doing other stuff like Buddha (mediatation) type stuff, and going to the gym are just as rewarding if not more..

AS for Chicks!!! Well I love them all... but i am able to curtail my urges....
Pia would not be pleased if i broke down!!!!

    Im faithful too...

LOL - plus i am in love with all my kitties!!! I spend all my time with them and Pia... were a family unit!!! LOL

Oh well the good ole days are gone and replaced with better ones.

Mario (RYPC) who lives in Amsterdam has told me when i get there in 2 months from now that i must have a beer!!!!

That frightens me!!!! Amsterdam???? 50 poker friends of his with tons of Beer, women and (refer) not poker either.. LOL

What am i going to do?
    Steve
