BEER & Affiliates - How much is too much?

Well i'm not a big drinker, but i went to a Carbon Trading Conference in 2008 and the most popular booth there wasn't the UN booth with copies of the Kyoto Accord, not the Chicago Climate Exchange, Morgan Stanley or even Shell Oil. The most popular booth belong to Cantor Fitzgerald's "Cantor CO2" booth where a keg was tapped at lunch and kept running till thru the end of the day. Cantor had about 10 people working the booth an it was the center of attention and MOST Importantly, it was the best place to meet people and have some great, topical discussions.

In general put some decent food, booze or people at a booth and i'll stop by.

Haven't been able to drink beer since a memorable (but unfortunately, limited memory) night when I was a freshman in college... About 14 years ago. I prefer the hard liquor now

And like Robin, I rarely drink - gambling conferences are among the rare times I have more than a drink or two... so unfortunately 4 or 5 over the course of a long evening is about all I can handle.

Two quasi-related things jump out to me...

1. I love freebies and I am first in line for them usually... I cant turn away from a deal, even if I dont need it. But I dont let them cloud my decision to promote or not (they can raise awareness so I do my homework)

2. And then you hear complaining about getting screwed - well - how did you find out about company x? They threw a party at a gambling conference.

Good thing you remind me about beer, I have a six pack in the refrigerator for ages do they go bad? The last time I had one it was sometime last year I think!!
