The online gambling deposit limit for Belgian players has been reduced from €500 to €200 a week per licensed website. as of 20 October.
The original €500 limit was spread across all operators that players gambled with but the Belgian Gambling Commission interpreted the rule by applying it to individual operators. Would you like to deposit more than €200 per week? Then you must submit a request to the online casino. Then the casino will make a report to the Belgian Gaming Commission. This party checks with the National Bank of Belgium whether the player is known as a defaulter. If this is not the case, then after 3 days the player can increase the limit.
The National Bank of Belgium then performs this check on a monthly basis. If a player emerges as a defaulter, then the limit is reset to €200 per month.

As a player you can also choose to apply a lower deposit limit. For example $25 or $50 per week. In addition you can choose a daily or monthly limit. Online casinos with a Belgian license are required to offer this option. By doing so, gambling providers stimulate responsible gaming.
