Default Best Conference Branded Merchandise (Swag)

Curious to hear from both affiliates and operators on this one.

Affiliates - what is the best conference swag you have picked up over the years? Can be in terms of cool factor, duration/frequency of use, etc.

Aff managers - what has been the most successful in terms of popularity?

From the conferences I have been to, here are a few of my personal favorites, which I like for being simple, not too costly, and useful:
*Credit card flash drive (2 GB) - really convenient, gets constant use
*Nice pens (have had a few different ones)
*Cellphone USB connector with multiinput (iPhone, Samsung, Blackberry etc all in one)

Never underestimate the power of a decent pen - most of the ones we use around the house are from some aff program or another. Last time I was at my mother in laws house (in California) I spotted her using a pen from Windsor Racecourse (UK) - I wonder where she got that from

Actually I never gave it to her so she must have pinched it. Cheeky bi... ahem.

Flash drives are a good idea too, again pretty hefty use coming out of those. Likewise a decent notepad would also see some action.

Gambling Domains: Small clear out of some of the domains we've been hoarding on Dan - see the list here. Prices negotiable, and willing to swap for decent links.

Coral Connect hoodies seemed to go down really well at the last couple of shows, which is good as we still have a few left to give out at BAC....and LAC...and maybe even beyond!

The Paddy Pants are just genius, and the travel adapters that Will Hills give out have been invaluable as it is the one thing I always forget!

don't think I've ever picked anything up at a conference, obviously take advantage of a beer or 2 from programs but I aint one to start asking for things.

seen some people just going from stand to stand asking what free stuff they had and just thought 'tramps'

I still wear a few of the Golden Palace t-shirts I got.....

....but I also regularly wear one of the many (more than 30) of the t-shirts that I got from AMD back in the early days of going to the tech confrences....some of them are for the K-6.....lol

I like the T-shirts, I wear them at home.

Flash drives are also nice. You can always use them.

That USB connector with multi input has been the one I've used the most.
That and the coral hoodie I got in Amsterdam.

The pens never get old either. I am constantly looking for pens at my desk and can never find any. People love to steal those pens from me and it's the first thing people ask me for when I come back from a conference. That and the lanyards. My dad and brother also love it when I bring them hats back. Although I think visors would get more use in my house (they don't mess up the hair as much).

The other thing I use a lot is the 888 mouse I got back in 2008 with the red liquid and dice in it. Bloody cool mouse if you don't need a wireless one.

    Edit:

I should mention that a few years back in London we had chocolates and everyone thought they were condoms and were disappointed when they weren't, so the next time we got condoms made and everyone was disappointed that they weren't chocolates. Can't win really can you

    Pretty sure that was HodgeyBoy.

We did some Gold Coins for the launch of Aladdin's Gold back in 2009. These still get asked for today and something that I still have stocks of if anyone wants me to bring any to Barca let me know. They work as currency in Prague!

I know everyone has them but pens are good. Worst not having a pen when filling out customs sheet. Was thinking a good swag for an Asia conference would be something like this http://www.picturetraveltool.com/

Affiliates or sponsors in a new land not familiar with the language could benefit and lots of space for branding.

By the way, one of the best gatzet that I have taken ever was a BANK-POWER for Mobile phones from iAffiliates (LAC2013). It inproved that was very usefull !

I got a small umbrella from I think it was betclic? that was handy to keep in the car, until I lost it. I think i would say most males like a 'good' calender with nice 'scenery' in it. Maybe a decent branded glass (not a mug) would be good. USB sticks are always handy. A diary can be pretty good as long as it isn't too big. Maybe branded mobile phone covers/cases?

Based on the motivation thread I was going to say some kind of haribo-esque candy would be a good idea for a giveaway, but then realised that as soon as it's been eaten the branding will be thrown away.

So... how about a big ass giant bag of candy? That'd sit on my desk for a while

I forgot to mention one item I use every single day now.....but it did NOT come from a conference.....

It is a coffee mug from
    GamblingMojoGroup.com

Paula sent this to me years ago, and I kept it on the shelf for a long time, but as things happen I kept breaking my coffee cups over the years, then one day, it was time to start using the one she sent me.....

Pens run out, usb thumb drives get filled up (but are very handy), tablets and notepads (the paper ones) eventually get used up, but something like a coffee cup will be used every day, and articles of clothing can get worn often and are good conversation starters.

Now when an affiliate program wants to provide me a Branded laptop or Windows tablet, I would be happy to proudly show your logo to friends and clients on a regular basis lol.....

After reading this topic I remember some things I also use a lot:
The calander with the Energy Girls is here at the wall and a mug I use all the time.

I also had 2 hoodies from LAC2013. I've worn them a few times and like universal4 says, it is a good conversation starter. Everyone starts asking if I am a professional gambler.

That get my vote as a GREAT idea!!!! A big bag is sure to last a few days, enough to get home and email the program to thank them and let them know you would be happy to take any extras they had left over...

Pens and paper are a simple but good one. They are always used in our house. I actually can't remember the last time I needed to buy any pens or notebooks! I have a few hoodies (not the famous Coral ones ), and I always grab anything which looks like the kids can play with it. I did spy a little toy on the floor of my kids nursery last week with Ladbrokes on it...I didn't quite own up it was my son who had brought that one in!!
