Default Best content on your affiliate site

I am a newbee in the casino affiliate world.

My question to you seniors is; what kind of content should I have on my site? Is it articles about slots, casino reviews, how-to-guides, latest soccer news, or what is your no1 selling point?

Also, what kind of content should I avoid?

Thanks for helping the new fish in the pond

Solve a problem, show a better way, deliver something new but be honest.
Write only about things you know or hire someone with the knowledge.

Actually its pretty easy, type the key you target on into Google´s search field, study the top10 results and make it better than all of them!

This is for me more and more a critical point.

There are many many super professionals with enormous budget an manpower outside and i have to ask myself much time is it good enough what i deliver?! If not, what i doing here? If i want to compete with stuff like AG or Wizzard of Odds or one of all the big blockbuster portals, i have to be better in minimum one or two disciplines.

    Hello,

If your site is based on bonus, then you should focus on that first
Most bonuses are based on slots. Then, I suggest that your content should be based on bonus + slots first.

    Good luck!

Yes that is a good idéa. I was considering adding "free to play" slots like one can find on http://www.slotozilla.com/free-slots and on similar sites.

Is this however legal? What does NetEnt and other game suppliers say about having their content on an affiliate site? Anybody with experience with "free to play" slots on their site?

    Have a nice day all

I'd say get it all. Having more content will draw in more traffic from google searches and give visitors more value when they visit your site. Stay away from duplicated or poorly written content which will just end up hurting you. PS if you need anyone to write content for you send me a PM.

It is also about having variety. Don't put all your eggs into on basket. Go after some big keywords but also some more niche ones to help grow a more robust site. If you have the time do more than one site focusing on different things too.

Whatever you do it needs to be top notch, it's not good enough to research a subject and write in perfect English, So choose to build something awesome that people love to return

If you are just starting out try to identify a specific target market

For example, TV Show themed Bingo games, Super Hero themed slots
Make your site very targeted ..

I, for example target individual slots and also other very very specific segments of a market

Once you know exactly what your target audience is you will know how best to connect with them

For example, younger visitors are best found & converted on Facebook / Youtube
    * This reduces the need for long drawn out articles as a small post / tweet will often suffice

Don't be a sheep and "do everything".. trust me you will try, burn yourself out and fail
    Simplicity is often key.

I love Hootsuite.. it schedules tweets so I literally set it up for a whole week and then I know every so often a tweet will be going out.
The more tweets the more your following will increase

Free to play section for the slots you are promoting is a good idea.
You can have a disclaimer on your site (at the bottom) letting visitors that games are from third party sources and are free. Different software providers offer that option to operators.
    Good luck!

Avoid the typical cookie cutter WP affiliate site. Think up something original and unique, a throw all that together with a catchy (non generic) brand name. You can write all manner of content/articles etc., BUT... if your site looks like 1million other aff sites... I'm sure you get the picture

In new business, it is very important to define a target market. I mean, in regular business, if you are selling food, you cannot intend to sell food to everyone, you need to focus like women 30-35 years with a child with 5-8 years, married, and after that you can do the right advertising, content creation, etc etc.

I think this also applies to online business, you cannot target all the people, choose a target and then work in having good content to catch their attention.

Just by example, few months ago we saw a good opportunity with the poker ex-pats (poker players living abroad due to regulations in their home country), did the same thing and get some good results.

    Regards

I'll quote Shay from an old post of his "Good that not a lot of forums such as this one use vbulletin, oh wait!". What exactly is the cookie cutter in 2018? A banner farm? A few review tables ? I can go on the search right now and pull the TOP 10 websites on the most competitive keywords, and they all look alike with minor differences with top 10-20 and top 30+.

This whole invent the wheel thing gets really old. Google doesn't want you to invent it. Google wants you to deliver good customer satisfaction. There's was an experiment done lately with top 10 results on various keywords. Rank 1 talked about topics: A, B, C, D, E, F, rank 2 as well, rank 3, missed C and F, rank 4 missed A and E etc etc.

You get the point. My point it is: Rank 1 wasn't unique website, rank 1 didn have a super good idea that nobody had. Rank 1 had summurized anything and everything there was about a certain subject.

Anyways back to the point. I saw SeoBrothers in LAC and some of their comments as ex Google Employees, with a bit of a hint to "listen to what Google's search console tells you".

Neil Patel also hinted towards "see what other terms ppl are searching for and refine and add that to your materials". Your best selling material would be that piece of content that was driven by a keyword, written by users willing to PLAY. For example years ago I wrote a piece on double chance bets and a calculator with it. The entrance keyword for it is "double chance 12".

Is that converting traffic? Nope but it's targeted readers, eager to read. Not every page of yours has to be a money page. In fact everyone has reviews everyone has bonus pages. The question is: are you willing to add more and be updating them. Are you willing to be up to speed with the latest mobile technologies and go mobile (for the most part). Are you will to put up user experience above all.

Overall there's no holygrail. Things that worked for some may not work for you and vice versa. Experiment see what happens and redirect from there.

Excellent points made in the thread. I have to agree with the ''Be specific'' approach. Don't target the entire Casino or sports betting Markets .. that's an impossible task. Instead break it up into chunks and focus your sites towards keywords you want to target ... and I'll repeat - Be Specific / Very Specific.
