Best way to redirect mobile traffic

Hi Guys

I have a wordpress site, which has about 14% mobile traffic and 3% tablet traffic, so the time has come for me to make a subdomain with a mobile ready version of the site.

Now, what I am wondering is, what's the best way to redirect mobile traffic from the www. site to the subdomain.

The subdomain is only for mobile users

we use a wordpress plugin called "Mobile Re-direct" really easy to use you just add the url for your subdomain into it then it recognises is a visitors comes from a mobile or tablet device and redirects them according. If you need any help mate just give me a shout on Skype
