bet365 guarantees workforce pay until August despite coronavirus crisis

Despite a heavy expected loss in sports betting handle and revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has wiped out much of the sporting schedule, bet365 has promised to guarantee the pay of its workforce for at least the next five months and that there will no job losses in the same time period.

From Racing Post:

The Stoke-based firm employ more than 4,600 staff and have put in place a multi-million package of support for workers during the global Covid-19 crisis.

A bet365 spokesperson said to the Stoke Sentinel: "In times of uncertainty it was essential that we reassured our people of the commitment we have to them and the wider community.

"They've been instrumental in our success and will continue to be so throughout these troubling times and beyond, when normality will inevitably be restored."

Hopefully this will be the case for bet365. I've only ever read good things about them and it would be such a shame if they ever went out of business because of this despicable virus which has already affected so much of the world and continues to wreak havoc. They're one of the "honest" and "highly reputable" programs out there to do business with.

The UK has a ton of problems, not least the same problem right now as the rest of the world. It was lost for two years before the last election when the opposition parties in parliament refused to enact the will of the people because "the people were ignorant and stupid" (typical arrogant and undemocratic socialist mantra). Since the decisive majority at the recent election, the UK was freed from the shackles of a lost continent, undemocratically run by largely unelected, socialist bureaucrats.

However the future is not bright given recent events and the mass tax rises and unemployment that will have to follow after coronavirus. In that sense, the UK will be as lost economically as anywhere else in the world, but likely to recover quicker than most.

I always knew how Bet365 treating their workforce, this is one of the best places to work at in this industry, so it's great to see the care and sensitivity they have also during these crazy times, bet365 are the best !

This is a very good move by bet365.

I know a lot of people working for them: traders, customer support, affiliate manager and any more.

The biggest problem of theirs and not only is their sport orientation, mainly live sports betting. This is a real disaster - when you open their site for bets, you see Belarusian Leagues, Swedish low Leaggues + Some Friendlies.

I do believe that all this pandemia will past in the upcoming 6-9 months, but real and norma sports events will not be happening soon.

One of the biggest questions here is what will happen to all the Sports Traders around , not only from bet365 department?

Fraud and CS sections will have the usual work-flow.

Bravo to bet365 management to give some secutiry to their people.

Got to applaud bet365 for this stance, very reassuring for their workers and that confidence should filter down to us affiliates too.

As a private company they can more readily do the right thing by their most valued assets - their people - without having to balance that with keeping shareholders happy. Well done to them, sure the short-term cost of this will be paid back many times over in the longer term.
