bet365 - London Affiliate Conference 2011
Affiliates
Please drop by Stand 34 at LAC to meet with our team.
bet365 offers an award-winning online gambling experience for Affiliates and Players
bet365 was last year officially recognised as the best online gambling company, receiving a string of accolades in the eGaming Review Awards 2010.
The company received the coveted Operator of the Year title in this prestigious awards ceremony, confirming its position as the number one operator in a very competitive market. bet365 was also named Casino Operator of the Year, as well as picking up the award for Best Website Performance.
There was further recognition of the company’s success as bet365 took top spot in eGaming Review’s annual Power 50 league, which ranks the most influential operators.
bet365 Affiliates was recognised as the ‘Best Overall Affiliate Programme 2010.’ Hopefully we will hold on to that title at the upcoming awards.
The bet365 Affiliate Team
With LAC just around the corner, I wanted to ‘officially’ introduce into this forum for the first time the affiliate team structure at bet365, so that you are fully aware of how the team is comprised in the build up to the London Affiliate Conference. We strengthened our affiliate team last year.
As mentioned, given the strengthened team at bet365 we are also going to have a stand presence at this years’ LAC. This will make finding us to discuss potential activity very straightforward.
Please come and see us at Stand 34 should you wish to discuss any activity at LAC and we will put you in touch with the appropriate bet365 Affiliate Manager.
Some of you will have seen previous posts from me in the past, but for those of you that haven’t here is a quick bio. Having started out in marketing in 2006 for an events company, I graduated in 2007 and got straight into the affiliate industry taking a job at a large network, working with an array of programmes across verticals, including a number of large gaming operators.
From here I moved to a marketing agency, before starting at bet365 in 2009 as the Affiliate Manager for Casino.
Proudest achievements at bet365 so far include being shortlisted for the final 5 for Casino Affiliate Manager of the Year 2010 and the final 10 for Affiliate Manager of the Year 2011, as well as being a part of the team that brought the Sports and Overall Affiliate Programme of the Year Awards back to Stoke-on-Trent in 2010. We are also shortlisted for the Affiliate programme of the Year 2011 so it would be amazing to retain the award.
Through hard work and commitment combined with good results over my first 8 months I was offered the opportunity to create a strengthened team, and once new members of the team were in place was officially promoted to my current role of Affiliate Operations Manager.
I will continue to be the main point of contact for the GPWA.
Nigel Ridgway – Affiliates Manager - Sportsbook
Nigel has years and years of gambling experience, having fulfilled roles as Croupier, Newspaper Tipster, Betting Shop Manager, to name a few.
Nigel is now, having working his way up through the business from Call Centre Supervisor, one of our Sportsbook Affiliates Managers, after a well deserved promotion from Sportsbook Affiliate Executive.
There is no doubt that Nigel’s holds extensive knowledge of the gambling industry, as well as betting in general. Allied with his conscientious style and an eye for detail, he is ideally placed to help affiliates maximise their earnings. As a member of the successful team who carried off the Best Sportsbook and Overall Affiliate Program awards in 2010, he can certainly prove it.
Interestingly, as testament to his gambling prowess, Nigel was once asked to stop writing his tipping piece for the local newspaper by bookmakers in his home town as he was losing them a lot of money.
His player behaviour knowledge assists affiliates hugely in maximising earnings around key events.
Gavin Walters – Affiliates Manager - Games and Bingo
Sports and Gaming have never been far away from Gavin’s mind, even from an early age. He has a degree in Sport and Leisure Management which is where the fundamentals for gambling marketing were gained.
Just over 2 years ago Gavin joined bet365 after making a move from RBS and the Global banking and market world. Gavin was then appointed his first role as Team Leader for our Customer Services Department, before making his move to Affiliate Manager. With 2 years of Sportsbook and Gaming knowledge Gavin knows our products very well and knows what engages customers.
He is committed to developing the revenues of Bingo and Games affiliates, and has the experience to support this ambition.
Rebecca Jones – Affiliates Manager - Casino
After gaining a 1st Class BA Honours degree in Business Management and a Master’s of Science (MSc) in Management, Rebecca wanted to move into a position where she would be able to gain further insights into all areas of the gaming business, especially strategic marketing.
Given Rebecca’s familiarity with the bet365 brand she thought it was an ideal place to make her foray into the exciting industry.
In light of Rebecca’s degree she was well suited to a corporate role, and secured a position within the bet365 Graduate Scheme, where she experienced a vast overview of all aspects of the business.
This is where she found, met and fell in love with affiliate marketing and the affiliate team.
Rebecca’s education and exposure to other areas of the company means she is extremely well placed to understand the intricacies of customer behaviour, and this has helped enormously in understanding the casino traffic of affiliates and how to monetise that traffic.
Alex Carr – Affiliates Manager - Poker
Through his proven management skills in other areas of business Alex was rewarded for his passion and ambition by being given the fantastic opportunity to be the Poker Affiliates Manager at bet365.
To add further credence to his position, Alex has a degree in accounting and finance, which helps enormously when analysing the results of Poker Affiliates.
It was whilst studying for his degree in accounting and finance that he became heavily involved in the local poker society by organising social events, structuring tournaments and playing prolifically on the cash table. This grew his love of poker further and served to strengthen his long-held desire to be involved in the Gaming industry.
Upon discovering that he could combine his appetite for poker with his academic ability in the fast paced world of Online Poker Marketing he was fixated on getting the role, and as apparent in other areas of achievement demonstrated so far he fulfilled his aim of being the Poker Affiliate Manager at bet365.
Adam Webber - Affiliates Manager - Sportsbook
After finishing a demanding International Management degree Adam knew he wanted to combine his passion for sports and gaming with his enthusiasm for international business, not to mention marketing.
As soon as he saw that there was a space on the bet365 graduate scheme he knew he had found the right role for him and he set about trying to gain this position.
During the first several months working throughout the company he gained a good understanding of the online marketing space and how operators employed a variety of different tactics to attract players. This was through a report he was tasked with compiling documenting online activity throughout key sporting events including the World Cup.
This only strengthened his desire to move into the marketing side of the business. His passion for Sport and attention to detail shone through when in July he was selected to join the Affiliate Team as one of the Affiliate Managers for the Sportsbook at bet365.
