Not surprised at all about these numbers. Eventually closing so many accounts was going to catch up with them. Have they backed off closing so many accounts? A good lesson to other programs ...

Similar web has 0% accuracy, there is also no way for them to tell how much referred traffic is being sent unless they are tagged to Bet365s own analytic account, however I do agree traffic will be down for sure.. though I noticed the video/music pirate sites still have their bet365 pop up windows... I guess they only want to work with the elite?

Don't know how accurate these readings are but I trust my deposits, turnover and revenue and for the last 4 months things look off compared to the past ... idk 6 years?

44k in deposits with over 300,000 in turnover and a -400 commission. And it all started after that bonus switch thing. Could be coincidence but at this point im starting to doubt it.

Still waiting for my closure letter, as I highly doubt as someone who told them straight "you are unpromotable, it cannot be done" will be left to even put a banner.

Coincidence I guess. I have record or near record revenues after I stopped promoting them.

I am agree, that SimilarWeb is not very accuracy. But up/down trands this tools detected well. I know that Bet365.com is not the one and only Bet365 site.

They have Bet365.es, Bet365.it, Bet365.dk... and many site-mirrors targeting on Asian market. But anyway i think the down trand for Bet365 - this is true.

Really not sure that's the reason.

They could have stopped some media buy that delivers as much clicks (not ftds) as all affiliates combined.

Well I checked out my website for similar web and it doesn't seem very good.
It's total traffic thought we dropped 75% between October and November - we didn't.

It's basic metrics like "duration on site" or "pages per visits" in the ballpark within about 30% of Google analytics (both under)
And it got 2 of the top 5 countries correct.

I can't see HOW similarweb can measure traffic without a tracker - so I assume that extrapolate from google / bing and other SEs?

    Exception that proves the rule?

They don't "extrapolate from Google and Bing", they use about 20-30 sources of data including toolbars, retargeting pixels, partnered mobile data providers. In this way it is better than anything you'd get from Alexa or Google Trends / Traffic Estimator.

Guys, I must say that Similarweb can be very accurate in certain situations (when the site has a lot of natural visitors across the world, with certain browsers) so do not claim this graph not mean anything. The graph means they may be losing traffic volume by 10-20 % per month.

This does not mean in the least that they are losing revenue by 10-20 % every month. Most income is from existing players. And most traffic they had was from random pops etc. A lot of affiliates just wanted to send the user to bet365 in any way possible and then hoped that he will sign up during the cookie period. So the drop is not a drop of targeted traffic of people interested in bet365. It is traffic that was randomly offered a landing page.

Also I don't think they stopped media buys, on the contrary I'd say they increased media buys on traffic sources they can control in terms of regulation. And the stats in their affiliate backend were always extremely limited but I kinda trusted them until now.

They preach water, but drink wine - maybe they should be reminded what they've been doing for years in countries such as Bulgaria, Russia, China, France, Korea, Thailand or Romania. Now they feel threatened because the officers from gambling commission sit 50 miles from their headquarters.

It only guessed one of my top 5 keywords (my number 1 KW). The other 4 samples were not' even in the top 50. With regard to the one they got correct, they assumed was nearly 6% of my traffic, and in reality it is more like 2%. So while they only were off by a factor of 3 for the one keyword they got correct, the others were off by an order of magnitude more hah.

Well, we have 200,000 monthly sessions from 178 countries, of which 40% is SERP the rest is direct type in or referral from other websites, so I think that should enable a good site to get some accurate measurements ?

SimilarWeb claimed a 75% reduction in our traffic between October and November, but the reality is that it went up slightly.
That doesn't seem accurate to me - but check YOUR own website on it - and see if you see that same thing?

Perhaps something broke in their November data collection?

Bet365 removed all popunders on torrent sites, streaming sites, porn sites etc. Those alone would likely account for the drop. SimilarWeb does a reasonable job with their data, but is by no means perfect.

The only one that somehow correlates for me is Ahrefs. The rest are barely relevant.
