Betfred Grows A Mo' for Movember

I am proud to announce that I have managed to persuade seven other <del>misguided fools</del> hardy souls from the Betfred Offices in Gibraltar to join me next month in raising money for Men's Health by taking part in the world-wide event that is MOVEMBER...

We will all start on Tuesday November 1st clean-shaven and will proceed to grow the very best moustaches that we can throughout the month before ending in a 'Tasche-Off' 31 days later.

I'll post some pictures of our progress throughout the month so please check out the MoSpace page of the Betfred Furry Fashionistas HERE and feel free to leave us your comments, encouragements and words of support... and I'm absolutely certain that the fine membership of the GPWA will be laughing with us and not at us, right?

Who knows.... you can even send us a donation right from our very own page if you so desire but I'll be just as happy for you to check us out and lend us some support!

Like many of us, my family has had it's brush with male-related cancers and working in Sports Betting, most employees are male and it can be at times a very testosterone-fuelled environment... we are notoriously bad at coming forward and expressing concerns about our own health and well-being, both physical and mental.

Movember aims to break that taboo with fun and a smile and point out that a finger up your bum doesn't have to be just for your own personal pleasure - it has serious health reason too!

Movember is a registered charity and donates the money raised to existing Male-Cancer charities as well as funding the Movember Foundation that deals with education and awareness of Men's physical and mental health.

I think all seven of us here at Betfred are going to need your support to keep going throughout Movember once we realise that depsite the 'tasche - we're just not as popular with our wives and girlfriends as Tom Selleck!

Good skills Hodgey and team. I partook last year but can't put myself through the public pointing and staring again.

As you say, many of us have known or been close to someone hit by the big C, some have pulled through, some were'nt so lucky. Any money raised for this is money well spent. I hope you guys pick up some good numbers (£££££).

Get Mr Done to grow a Mo too, and get him in the papers pushing it. With his name next to it, it'd raise LOADS for the cause. plus, I think he'd really suit one :)

Based upon my BF stats that I looked at earlier today I might actually have to do this....c.ause I sure can't afford the razors on my commissions this month.....lol (just kidding except about the negative.....someone has won a bit...oh well good for the player at least...lol )

I had actually considered doing this....but likely will not since to be fair I would have to shave tonight first and that aint gonna happen.....lol

Well we launched the Betfred Movember Campaign yesterday with only a couple of minor blips...

2 of the team had days off and 2 others hadn't shaved! Oh well! We decided the best thing would be to levy a £5 fine on each of them to ensure their continued loyalty to the cause :) Also delighted to say that we have been joined by one of our Affiliates - GPWA member lowrisk of www.LowRiskWinner.com has become a member of the Betfred Furry Fashionistas!

Its not too late for any other affiliates to join us if they are willing to accept the challenge - just think of the glory....... Hand Brushed, 100% Face Grown....... The Mo'!

Looks like even the world famous 'Mr Clean' (Don Limpio here in Spain) is getting in on the Movember Act...

Using Facebook, his Mo will Grow according to the number of likes their Fb page draws over the month.

Well we reached week 1 and the first major test: That 1st Shave leaving the Mo behind!

We now have a team of 11 and since we now all have recognisable Mo's the donations are starting to arrive - but it's still more of a trickle rather than a flood!
