Bethard leaving the UK market

Received this today for anyone who is affected Bethard are the latest to exit the UK, no longer accepting registrations from today:

"Dear affiliate,

Please be informed that after a careful review of our strategic options, Bethard Group have taken the decision to withdraw from the UK market.

Bethard.com will no longer accept any new UK registrations as from 16th June 2020, and operations will cease on 6th July 2020.

Bethard Group Affiliates"

Unfortunately, a very bad decision by the Bethard Group. We have had very good results with them for several years and now expect a decline.

In addition, their brand SverigeCasino.se has ceased to exist in Sweden (as of 1st July 2020)

What a shame

Things are becoming more challenging and difficult.
I don't understand why they don't tell affiliates the actual reasons involved for them in exiting the UK market.
We're always just left high and dry.

Did anyone who worked with Bethard under CPA/hybrid hear back from them recently about releasing CPA budgets?
They switched to pure RS once pandemic started.

The real reasons are obvious.
UK market is penetrated.
UK gambling is over-regulated.
UK gambling is overtaxed.
UK compliance is unbearable.
UK authorities are a-holes.
UK economy is going downhill.

The result is that it is impossible to make money there and it is known for years. No need to be Sherlock.

Sherlock, you make excellent and smart points (I thanked your post) and I always have respect for you. It's just dreadful that we as affiliates can't seem to do anything about things like this from happening and just have to put up with it and suffer. I feel helpless and powerless and I just wish that there was some sort of union for affiliates so they can take action against nonsense like this.

This website and few others are a proof that we failed in the past to establish the union. You either eat or you are being eaten. We lost the initiative long time ago.

The war is lost, but still majority of useless idiots clap to all attempts to regulate and therefore monopolise new markets. When people are so stupid that they do not see how something is exactly hurting them and they support it, then it is totally impossible to join forces in a fragile reunion.

There is a bigger battle than UK: the USA. Yet majority here thinks they will make money there on regulated market. Even when everyone can see what happened in the UK.

From the brighter side: seeing how people are stupid helps me hopefully to do the right investment decisions now. People can be dumber than the lowest imaginable level. Always.
