BetOnline hit with "aggressive cyber attack" over the weekend

BetOnline, along with other Commission Kings brands (SportsBetting.ag and Wild Casino), reported on Friday that it was hit with an "aggressive cyber attack" lasting throughout a busy weekend of NFL action. Last night, the site reported via Twitter that it was finally back online.

UPDATE: We are now LIVE with most services and expect to be 100% very soon. Thank you for your patience and we truly value your business.

The updates regarding the problem were first report on Twitter beginning on Friday:

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience, we hope to have the service fully restored soon. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

(1/2) Valued customers, we are offline due to an aggressive cyber attack. We're taking every measure to resolve the issue and we will be fully operational again as soon as possible.

(2/2) We appreciate your continued patience and we look forward to restoring the products and services you have trusted for more than 20 years. Further updates will be provided on our official Twitter account.

To our valued customers: We are taking every measure to resolve the website issues as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and will continue to provide updates as soon as they are available.

On Saturday at 3 p.m. ET the update stated:

We have no new info to pass along at this time. Rest assured, we have heard all of your complaints and continue to aggressively seek out a solution as fast as we possibly can. All info will be passed along here on our feed as soon as we have it. Thank you.

As of this morning, the news about the attack had been removed from the BetOnline home page.

So maybe that's the reason why revenue stats don't seem to have been updated since Oct 15? Strange...

Yea I’ve pulled any and all links until they can confirm tracking for not just new depositors, but player activity and MGR stats these last few days. No one has responded to my emails or Skype’s. It’s ridiculous.

They were offline from roughly Friday through to most of Sunday. So just expect a row of zeros for that period. It seems clicks show, but obviously that was just to their landing page while the site was offline. There is no reason tracking was affected, though obviously you wont get any sign-ups or activity while they were offline. Just write off Friday to Sunday. For the period after that, myaffilate stats can be slow to update at the best of times.

Their stats haven’t updated from all of Thursday right before the cyber attack and the 2.5 days since they’ve been back online...they’re usually spot on with their updates and don’t have many delays like revenue network, who also uses the same MyAffiliates platform.

I’d feel a lot more confident about the situation if a rep would just comment here already instead of just ignoring most everyone’s emails to the affiliate department.

Yes, I don't understand why they don't just write here, send an email or show a messge in their backend. I don't want to write them by myself when I see that others have the same issue as well.

Yep...I’ve notified some other people to this thread on Skype who I feel can at least get in touch with Troy or whoever else works in the affiliate department now. Hoping we hear back as tomorrow (10/22) would mark a full week of ZERO stats reporting.

Appreciate the update man!!! That’s a step in the right direction it sounds like. Although any additional assurances from an actual rep or more direct responses to affiliate emails would be awesome too.

This is how problems have to be handled. Transparently. I was told over IM that they are down before we figured out. The worst is not when things are fuked up. The worst is when they are and the bookie is silent, because they have no clue about it or they do not bother that we are losing traffic.

That's 100% correct .
Although not sure this was the case. But with email servers down not sure they could really update.

I got notified over Telegram.
I missed the email part. I hope email servers are at different location than the affiliate ones or the ones with the sportsbook. Even if they are not, one can always send emails through 3rd party route/app or change MX records to another emailserver. It looks more like a hack than just ddos.
