Thanks for the inquiry. It finally confirms my assumption it's fake. Unfortunately I'm living in Holland, so I have to spend evenmore to even talk to the guy face to face. So I think it's best to rest my case and take my loss on this one.

Yes it sounds as if it is one of those things you have to put behind you and move on!!!!

I have just had to write £1000 off too!!!!......i took my last employer to an employment tribunal because he failed to give me my accrued holiday pay when i left the company and the tribunal awarded me £1000.

To avoid paying the £1000 award he simply closed down the Ltd company at Companies House and reopened the company "2 weeks later"???????.......as "Limited"??????

My solicitor and the tribunal have told me because the first company legally does not exist anymore there is nothing i can do to enforce the award!!!!

It is the sort of thing that gets my blood boiling,but if i called round to confront my ex boss i will probably end up in prison for affray!!!!!!......so i will just have to put that £1000 behind me and move on like you are going to have to do with your £1000!!!!

But yes i agree with thebookiesoffers......get as many links as you can pointing to your post!!!!!......we will love you forever mate!!!!!!......lol

Tying up with a SEO company is a tough gamble. There are many out there that would give you fake assurances and will say they will get your guaranteed top rankings. Now, personally I feel the best way is to learn SEO by doing it yourself and see the results. At least you will get what you did...

SEO is not that difficult, it comes by practice and some research.

Yes i totally agree with Gamblingdomainer`s comments!.....as Casinoplanets experiences of hiring a rogue seo consultant and been ripped off in the process have proved very costly indeed,the safe and best option is to try and learn seo yourself.

According to me one way to safeguard yourself when dealing with larger amounts of money is to setup the agreement with the payment being made into an escrow account which you release as the work is done to your satisfaction.

That in itself tells me that they are not worth dealing with in the first place!

not at all, depends on the campaign they are going to run. what you need to do is get a list of their previous clients and contact them for opinions

I still would not hire a SEO company who wanted money "upfront"....it is not a good way to do business!!!

Doing your own SEO is the way forward!!!!

NO NO NO NO NO, that means nothing. Ignore that little bit of green rubbish in the toolbar, it means nothing. I dont' even have it installed. All that is used for is crap SEO firms and link sellers to rip people off.

Anyway, back to paying up front. If you wanted an SEO firm to run around doing an advertising campaign for you you will need to set up a budget and pay upfront a lot of times, because believe it or not some webmasters are just as dodgey as some rougue seo firms

Surely Pagerank is what separates Google apart from all other search engines......it is dying a slow death but i think it is still useful to have a high pagerank for high rankings in the search engines.

If they encountered costs promoting your website then of course it would be a good idea to pay for some of the costs up front!!!
