Lightbulb Is Bitcoin the new reserve money of the world?

No, it is not but it will support the newly coming reserve money (most probably a digital money from China) to be established by all over the world.

Bitcoin will absorb all of the money from the stocks, bonds, etc, then as the owners of the Bitcoin mechanism is the owner of everything in the world they will transfer everything into their new global money.

Above process is called "GREAT RESET".

Bitcoin is not the "DIGITAL GOLD" but it will act like a digital gold. Because with traditponal bullion GOLD, they can not do this process fastly and effeciently.

So, invest all you have into Bitcoin until the end of 2022, then convert them to physical gold.

Then send my commisions on the above favour

Bitcoin is cool and all, but that is a bit far reaching of a prophecy don't you think?

First of all, that is actually NOT what the great reset is all about, but that is not a well suited discussion for the GPWA.

I do think bitcoin will rise and fall quite a bit this year, but I do not think bitcoin itself will become the world's official currency, but digital currency itself, based upon bitcoin's tech may well be created independently in many countries to replace their current fiat systems.

This may or may not add even more long term stability and perceived value to bitcoin, and cause it to rise more later.

I agree it is not suitable for GPWA.

I agree the great reset is not about bitcoin, but about impotence of recent societies, people, politicians, economies.

I however think from day 1 that bitcoin will be the reserve currency and that will come after the reset. Or the reserve currency will be something like bitcoin, if bitcoin fails. It is irrelevant whether the reserve currency will be official or not. The New Dollar and The New Yuan can be pegged to BTC.

The economy goes towards total destruction and people want it. Ok, Corona killed 2 millions of people, will kill more. If nothing is made against it it will kill tens of millions. But the measures against Corona will destroy life nearly anyone on the planet. I wonder why. Tens of millions people died in the past and other people did not give much attention. My answer is that people simply are at the point where they need to make the disaster and reset at all costs. So I think when most people want to destroy themselves (with a bulletproof excuse that they are saving someone/something), it will happen. If not corona, people will invent some even more absurd bullshit why we have to destroy ourselves.

Anyways what is the implication? To hold bitcoin? Ok.. what is next. What good is money for when you can not move or buy anything when there is chaos everywhere? This is why I do not like the OP post. When we say A (BTC will take over the world and there will be a reset) we should say also B (B means that the reset will not be just new shining money and restart of capitalism with human face; the reset will be wars, famine, suffering and a very sad world).

So I hold a lot of BTC. The higher goes the price the more I am concerned. State of bitcoin is a mirror in which state of world economy is reflected. Nobody is isolated in this world. Even if you are on an island, even if you live in mountain valley [which is where I am heading to], we are all connected. It is awesome that some guy, probably from Switzerland, so living in the bubble_squared, sees the reset as positive thing, because he has a loaded wallet. The problem is that not even Switzerland will be saved, like it was during last centuries. I am coming there up and there and really few bankers I spoke to there do believe in reset, in chaos, in era of darkness, they have bitcoin/gold/alpine huts prepared for agriculture, but while we talk in a luxury restaurants or at snow polo, they really are 100% sure that even if the world will go to poo, it will not affect them. Simply: amazing.

It is more than "cool" for sure. Bitcoin shows the similar characteristics with Gold. Even better than that in terms of storage and usage. Let's wait and see but as far as I observe, it already stole a market from Gold due to young people.

    Exclamation

Thanks a lot for your prceless contribution and comments.

Bitcoin is a store of value and it is also a "digital" money.

If countries restrict, you will not be able to use your golds. It was occured in USA before. Even the government bought back the golds with a specific price.

Bitcoin was a protest to the financial system and it is not a coindicense that the release of Bitcoin was the date of the bank bailouts. The protest tone was coded in the whitepaper of BTC.

You may store and move millions of Dollar via cold wallet or even on a toilet paper but you can not move kg's of Gold. In Silver, situation is even worse!

I am more than sure that 1 BTC will surpass 1 kg of Gold and even perform multiplies of better.

There is only one risk exists for BTC that is the internet cut-off and electricity cutoff!

I prefer to store my long-term crypto investment on cold wallet, and the other small amount on exchange for trading as a precaution to electricity cutoff.

If electricity will be terminated globallyi there are some nodes which interacts with each other on wi-fi systems.

But what if crazy Elon Musk's close orbit internet "Starlink" will replace the current internet and current Blockchain technology will become a trash!

This will be the "GREAT RESET" of all times. They have tried it before but they either postponed or failed to do that. But this time, everything goes on plan (exclıding the ultimate creator).

The global debt of the world is multiplier times of the GNPs. It is around 387 trillion Dollars. Who owes to whom? You known the answer! around 7.8 billion people works for and owes to around 250 people (major portion is around 20 people).

The debt-on-debt system came to an end! They will print more and more money but money will not turn to velocity in the ecnomies. I mean the money will not have a turnover and people tend to buy Bitcoins and gold with that money because everybody is scared a lot!

Hyper inflation will hurt each and every market. Covid has already colapsed hospitality and aviation sectors!

Let's observe and see the happenings. But I am sure that this will not be before 2023 and Bitcoiners will earn a decent amount of money on 2021 and 2022 if they will not be hunted on "Roller Coaster" type price volatilities!

Don't use STOPs on your trades. Do not trade on big amounts. Just store the max amount (you will not need that money for 2 years) of BTCs for a long-term in your safe.

All the best & Stay Safe

I don't think Musk's internet will be replacing current cable providers any time soon. So far Starlink (Elon Musk's internet) has only rolled out in limited markets, but with a $300-$500 up front cost and $99 per month, gaining marketshare may be a difficult task for them.

There are many claims of 30-60 meg speeds but most independent testers I have seen have shown 4 to 5 meg downloads. With the average consumer pricing of internet in the US at $50-$60 monthly for a little better speeds then that on average that also will hurt gaining share.

Although they may be able to gain a lot in rural markets, some of which currently use various satellite or wi-fi providers with similar pricing and bandwith.

Long term more competition in the market will be good, and most likely their service levels will improve over time. It may also force some of the current satellite providers to lower pricing to stay competitive or offer more services for the same pricing.

After 1 and 1/2 month I am returning from a ttally remoted areas and the affordable satellite would be an incredible change. (But for the record I exchanged one cabin in nowhere with technicians who were doing there 5G project already). I am just afraid that the Musknet will destroy even the last pieces of nature on planet. Let we see, it is unstoppable as everything people invent.

    After several days of walking
    through mountains and rivers
    I made a campfire in a valley
    The stars were incredible
    so was the wild forest
    I drank fresh water
    and took some LSD
    The feeling was incredibly calm
Until I saw the stars are moving
    I guess it was Tesla

    Very interesting discussion.

I think that very soon Bitcoin will replace all fiat currencies or the government will create their own cryptocurrencies.

But I don't think that people need to invest all their money in it. It's very risky.

As the same tendency, we were seeing in 2017 and people lost lots of money. But still, it's good to buy it. But not right now. It could go down again.

The discussion about bitcoin, espcecially here, is on level of random word generator.

Don't use STOPs on your trades. Do not trade on big amounts.
How this is connected to the world reserve currency? Wtf is this? WHy should I or anyone else who is sane gamble=trade with bitcoin, where price is a random walk within 4 years cycles?

People who gamble away their money love to tell random positive news about bitcoin; or negative if they are short. They need those narratives just to justify their gambling habit. It is totally boring.

government will create their own cryptocurrencies
This is another random text from the internet. I never heard a reson why should this happen. I talked on this topic maybe 100x conservatively. Always just some moonboy comes with this. Why should governement create their own cryptocurrnecy? Maybe you meant central banks, but even there, why should central banks create their own crypto? What would banks do then? What would happen with fractional banking that allows debt on which the current system is built on? I am 99% sure that people who are telling that states will come with their own cryptocurrency have no idea how monetary policy works or even what it is. How it is blended into the whole economic policy, so no state can now stop with the fiat currencies.

1st step is that a huge economic disaster must occur and the money must stop having value. Fiat must stop existing. Until then the fiat will exist and will exist the system build on the top of that. Once the fiat stops existing, no one has to invent their own private or state cryptocurrencies, because no one will want it. Because there will be an alternative: the decentralised cryptocurrency called most likely bitcoin.

I do not think, and I am really terrified, that most people even understand how totally different is a real cryptocurrency that was made from "down" like bitcoin. And how different is a fake-crypto made from up like some hypothetic state cryptocurrency or how was for example XRP made. The real and only value will come from the down and not from the up. The fiat value comes from the up and it exist only because there were no alternatives until now. Even the FIAT shortcut itself says that the value comes from the up. {The word "fiat" comes from the Latin and is often translated as the decree "it shall be" or "let it be done."} Nobody by bitcoin had the authority to say: let the bitcoin has this or that value. The value was spontaneously built and it keeps piling up for the 2nd decade now. How is not this obvious in 2021?

I agree with that, usinmg bitcoin is great, especially for the fact that it can be accepted throughout the world. Since it is also well-promoted, it is not surprising if more users will really shift to using crypto. Of course, this is not applicable to those countries who banned cryptocurrencies. But, well, I do get that point that there will be chaos if money stops occurring and governments start to make their own cryptocurrencies. I mean, where's the decentralization if that's the case?

Quantum computer will not destroy bitcoin. If worst it will just create few halvings in few seconds, so the year 2140 will come a bit sooner.

Even more likely the code of Bitcoin will be changed to be quantum resistant well before quantum computers will be a thing.

Thanks a lot for your thoughts. It can easily be read from the market movements that, BTC replaces GOLD and ETH replaces SLV.

Decentralized Digitality is everywhere! Money system can not be kept outside!

Let's wait and see but I am more than sure FIAT currencies will be out of usage very soon in a few years (2-3)

You are not serious. Forget about your site for a sec and look at the people around you. Your family, friends, parents. Do you see them using crypto in 2 years from now? Seriously.

There has been a talk for at least a decade that people would stop using cash and yet I have no problem paying with cash and i do live in EU.

Good luck trying to buy yourself lunch with credit card in most parts of India or any 3rd world country. Or with Bitcoin

Yes I do think that the blockchain technology will replace gold somewhere along the road. Not sure if Bitcoin will dominate all the way. Not that I have so much knowledge like some have shown in this thread though!
