Bodog is Expanding its Operation to Central and South America

Up until now, Bodog companies did not service Central or South America. They do now. 15 new countries will be added to Bodog, which only serviced Canada up until now. They actually don't begin until February 15th.

Here is the marketing update as well as a good bit of speculation with regard to how it will affect the offshore online poker market.

UPDATE: I spoke to a higher up on the phone today. There was an error in their original affiliate release. A few of them it seems.

[1] Costa Rica will 100% NOT be on the list of allowed countries on Bodog.
[2] There are other errors, but I don't know them. A corrected list of countries will be released "soon"
[3] A press release on a different topic will be coming out soon...

They've printed a retraction. As of Feb 15, only the following countries are opening up for business with Bodog Brand: Mexico, Brasil, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Chile and Colombia

There is also some other news... they've sold and rebranded the poker network!

I expect average player value to be quite low given the average GDP of those nations. However, liquidity feeds upward in the poker arena, and that will be good for all of our Igntion poker players.

The Bodog Spanish and Portuguese language links are going live today. I think they are all listed, but some of them are still 404'ing as of this morning. Specifically, the poker links are not up and running yet. Unsurprisingly haha! Sports and general multi-channel links appear functional. Some links we tried earlier this morning that were not working appear to be slowly coming on line, one graphic at a time. I expect they're working on this as I type.
