I am more of a dog person, but cats can be very entertaining.
Ive never seen a dog video as funny as a cat one. I may be biased (although I'm allergic to both now it seems) but I think cats are much more entertaining than dogs.
I don't have anything against dogs, but they kinda seem like they alway remain attention seeking children (i'll beat you all to the punch - 'just like men'), where i like the independance that cats grow into. It's personal preference i guess and i know it's learned behaviour as i always had cats when i was younger, but they seem the more dignified choice :pQuote:

This is something i've tried to explain to several people who have been apprehensive about getting cats and ask the question 'what if i don't get a nice one?' - cats very much adapt to the personalities and more importantly behaviours of their owners. The reason i've ended up with cats that visitors like is because i'm nice to my cats. I've made mistakes with cats before - namely fighting too much with them when they're young - and it's a very long mistake to live with. By being gentle and reassuring with a cat you allow it the space to develop a personality that reflects your own, it'll know when you're in the right mood to play and when you're feeling low just like i'm sure dogs do.Quote:
