Higgins tips Trump to triumph
John Higgins won his fourth World Snooker Championship title on Monday and immediately predicted that beaten finalist Judd Trump would be a future champion.
Higgins prevailed 18-15 in a tense Crucible struggle and is already 11/2 with bet365 to triumph again in 2012. However, Trump is also much fancied and is 9/1 to become world champion for the first time next year.
Higgins believes Trump is "a multiple future world champion," describing him as "a joy to watch."
He continued: "The old has-beens like us will be around for a few more years to ruffle them up, but he's definitely the future, which is great."
Trump looked set for victory over Higgins when he led 12-9, but the Scot used all his experience to work his way back into the match and eventually won with a little to spare.
Higgins’ next target is to emulate Stephen Hendry’s achievement of seven world titles.
He said: "I want to get to seven world titles now, because I've won three in the last five years.
"I've rededicated myself in recent years and I want to keep winning it."

Lambert hails Norwich miracle
Norwich City boss Paul Lambert believes his side have performed a miracle in gaining automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The Canaries have risen from League One to the top-flight in two seasons, with a 1-0 win at Portsmouth sealing Norwich's promotion after Cardiff City had lost 3-0 at home to Middlesbrough.
Norwich can now look forward to mixing it with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea again next term, with the Red Devils 7/4 with bet365 to win the Premier League next season. The Blues are 11/4.
A delighted Lambert said: "It's incredible what the lads have done, they are the ones who do it week in week out.
"It's a miracle, an absolute miracle, what has happened to this football club. It's up there with anything I've done."

Flower extends England deal
Team director Andy Flower has agreed a new contract to remain in charge of the England team, ensuring that he leads the side into summer Test series against Sri Lanka and India.
England begin their summer campaign with a three-Test series against Sri Lanka, who beat them in the World Cup quarter-finals. England are 2/5 with bet365 to get off to a winning start whilst Sri Lanka are 13/2.
The 43-year-old former Zimbabwe captain took charge of the England side in January 2009 following the acrimonious departure of Peter Moores and has been instrumental in two Ashes series wins and a triumph at the ICC World Twenty20 last year.
Flower has struck up an excellent relationship with skipper Andrew Strauss and was recently linked with the India head coach's job, which eventually went to Duncan Fletcher.
Meanwhile, England are 4/7 to complete an Ashes hat-trick in 2013, with Australia 11/4 to win back the little urn.
Please let me know if find these useful.
