You Brits are so misleading when it comes to distance--EVERYTHING is a 'five minute walk.'

    Thanks for the info, though.

I've noticed that as well. Every time some tells me how far away it is in kilometers or miles...I always ask "how far away in minutes?". The airport for example, i know it's 15 minutes away but i have no idea in kilometers! lol

p.s sorry to get off the subject, I just had to agree with Debbie.

450 metres in 6 minutes is a grand total of 2.8 mph.

    It won't explode the pacemaker.

    $6600 total ? We'd kill for that.

We're at NZ $9165 each - so that $18,331 NZD or about $13,500 CAD for the plane flights - that are going to take 35-40 hours each way.

Ouch ! Choose an airline hub city next time!

No offense to BAC organisers, AM's and other affiliates - but I just don't think that we're going to see the business payback from that - and it's too expensive / time consuming for a junket.

Still - if you are based in europe then BAC may make a lot of sense.

Christine--I think it's probably in both of our best interests to do what you did in Prague...use the bellman's cart to get us to our destinations!

I like EasyJet a lot, I get a good seat 90% of the time.

Never tried RyanAir, but heard wretched things about them.

I registered but I must wait some days for confirmation. I understand will be 1600 delegates, around 1000 are affiliates. 50% from this are Eastern Europeans.
I understand is some distance (20 min with bus shuttle) from hotels to conference halls, but the parties will be near the hotels.

Can someone tell me how many Romanians was last edition?
Other Romanians from this forum will be there?

    Thanks!

Just saw you registered and you should be approved now so have all the information. In terms of Romanians, at the moment we have 32 affiliates registered and last year had just over 60.

Usually we get teh bulk of registrations over the last four weeks so we should see a big increase now.

As for distance to the venue - It is the same one as last year which took aroudn 10 - 15mins - We have put 20 this year though just to be careful

I received the confirmation, so is ok now, very fast procedure.
I will arrange myself the accommodation probably, since the main hotel is booked.
The distances are not so long, I understand the taxi is around 1 euro/km.

If there are Romanians here pls. contact me in private.

    Thanks!

The trick is to order the local taxis and not get them off the street - I had a few numbers last year that I will try and find again as they were almost 25% of what teh normal taxis charged!!
