Default Buying a Domain Anonymously w/Crypto?

I have heard that it is possible to buy a domain name anonymously, and with crypto currency.

Is such a thing possible? If you have done it, tips?

I'm not trying to do anything shady, but I definitely like the privacy aspect of owning domains anonymously and want to try it with a small domain/idea I have.

Can't see a purpose, would almost say you don't really own it at that point no? Tried to think about it before I responded but doesnt make much sense

I'm assuming you mean you want to go a step further for some reason than the normal domain privacy that you can buy for a few $s at the time you register it, Prof? Buying it anonymously isn't the problem right, having it registered to you but no record of that showing in the Whois is what you want? That's what the standard privacy feature gives you. Or maybe I'm missing something.

But either way, there are some registrars that take crypto yes..straightforward search returns some options

Yup. These types of things are typically referred to DMCA ignored hosting / off-shore hosting or domain registration.

    One example; njal.la

Yes, it is very easy. Yes, pay by bitcoin. Many registrars offer that. Or pay by cash or by prepaid card.

There is no privacy if the money-trace is aiming at you.

The registrars answer to police or whoever is pretending they are police more frequently than you think. Nobody is waiting for court decisions.

Just with bitcoin be sure you do not mix the money with other coins that can doxx you. Or use the mixer to be sure.

    It could be this:

    What are Blockchain Domains?

Blockchain domains sold at Unstoppable Domains end with “.crypto” or “.zil”. They enable their owners to attach all their cryptocurrency addresses from different wallets to this one domain and input only this domain in the address field when sending cryptocurrencies. This saves you hassle in searching and copying lengthy addresses every time. Moreover, with blockchain domains, you can create uncensorable websites only you can put up and take down. https://blog.crypto.com/crypto-com-p...sive-campaign/

That is something complateley else. A blockchain parasiting/aprticipating company crypto.com is trying to revive something like used to be .bit https://www.zdnet.com/article/openni...malware-abuse/
    but maybe not even that.

Crypto.com is KYC friendly I guess either way.

OP asked about anonymous payments for domains.

One guy I know is simply putting his USD in a letter and sending it to Russia / Ukraine when he needs something and they do not take BTC. Guess what, it works.

    LOL.
I think the wise man thought never use mixer for coins that you are sending to exchange.

Then have a separate address/es or rather whole wallet for drugs, ransomware attacks and private domains.

    He thought it like this.

In my hot wallet I have coins for salaries separated and then I have there addresses for Person A, B, C... who are shady. So for example if I owe you amount X. I would take some address that was funded from some offshore affiliate program = relatively anonymous and I would send you the coins. That address and the change address I would mark as "Person J". Next time if I pay you you would be paid again from that address.

And if I need to pay something shady, I would again use some address that was directly paid from some program and the amount of the address would be just a bit higher than what I need to spend and I would easily send those coins to the mixer.

But both coins that I sent to you or to the mixer can never hit the exchange with my name.

I rather do not ask how many people use "spend from..." feature here. In short, if you do not, learn it fast and adjust the brain. It is a suicide to just let the wallet decide which addresses will be used for spending. It is like having shelves or the folders in the computer. Wallets should have such structure.
