I'll be there to meet up with Webzcas, the Meister, Peralis and Online Casino King among others. Hey, it's Amsterdam, wouldn't miss it for the world even if only 10 people turn up lol

Over the years, I've found that small events are often far more productive than the larger ones. With fewer people, you'll be able to spend more 'quality time' with the people you're meeting with, giving you greater opportunities to build stronger relationships and gain greater insight (hard to do when you only have 10 or 15 minutes to meet with someone).
So yep, I'll be there!
Hey Martyn--put me down for a fiver on Webz, as well. Perhaps we can ask Becky to have the event filmed?????

I will be there!! CalvinAyre.com is an official media sponsor.
Also, Debbee and others, I agree- over the years I have grown to really enjoy the smaller events- lots of great face time and perfect opportunity to build relationships.
Ok fine...and Amsterdam ROCKS! haa
Looking forward!

Thanks for all the support from everyone.
I've resisted this for years. I didn't want CAC to turn into a "search engine strategies'' conference. I thought there were plenty of other affiliate marketing strategies that you either use or should look at to improve revenues.
Nevertheless, the gang likes 'ice cream'... (SEO).... every SEO session has been packed over the years.
Gary Beal asked (more like.... demanded...) that we have CAC become the SEO event for the industry.
As I know you have alot of choices, and the industry is going through alot of changes now, I concurred with Mr. Beal at Vanguard.
However, I took it one step further. CAC Amsterdam's sessions always focus on Europe. In the early days, it was hard to get internet marketers with experience in non-english speaking European markets. We would take almost anything that breathed. (BTW they were usually good speakers).
Now, e-marketers for the region are a dime a dozen.....so I figured, lets turn it up a notch.
Topics aren't simply 'SEO in europe' ... no...no ...no..
Topics are along the lines of: SEO for specific games to specific countries.
ex: SEO for Poker to Romania.
You can see more here: http://www.cac2010.com/speakers-amsterdam-2010.php
Plus for the black hat/white hat session, we found some new affiliates out there that more than earned their place to be at the table...black, gray or white .
If all you see from CAC is that it is a place to party, then you are missing a major change of the event that can really help your bottom line.

Hey Mark, thanks for the post.
Can you explain the deal with the sponsoring of affiliates please?
I know there are a bunch of people very confused with how this works, who pays what and operators that affiliates dont want to be forced upon when being 'sponsored'.
How many affiliates can a company sponsor, how much does it cost etc.. etc..?
Thanks sunbeam!

Hotel is booked!
I dont like the ticket system this time. Possible that i will not go in to the conference and just enjoy Amsterdam and meeting old friends there.
I will not begging for tickets from programs that i dont promote and if programs that i promote have no tickets for me then i will not go inside the show.
Would be my secound show after macau without going inside

I think the lobby will be busier than the conference floor on this one.
Just a hunch.
Still, its near the mini restaurant which does awesome food and of course beer.

Was thinking of meetings in the lobby as well.... but think the urge for going inside will be to big...

CWC Martyn - Thanks for the question.
Things changed when the event became free for affiliates. You have a premium hotel in a premium location. Today, the event doesn't happen without sponsors. Period.
So, if affiliates are not visiting exhibitors... the programs will get mad and won't see the value at being at the event. That's one concern.
We also had some issue in the past with free "affiliates" coming to the event that were not affiliates. That denigrates the event. There will be less value for sponsors if their competition is standing next to them at the event ...for free. That's another concern.
As a result, it was prudent to clamp down. Any program that is exhibiting at the event has passes for you. Call them and ask to be put on the list. Their cutoff day is April 7. If you are not working with them, then fill out the Sponsored Affiliate Form and we'll find you a sponsor. Only one program will be sponsoring you. Your name won't be passed to every Tom, Dick and Harry.
If every affiliate attending signed up and met with each exhibitor, it would bypass the need or this. But we need to be realistic: That's not going to happen.
This is a middle ground. Affiliates are free but must be sponsored. "Affiliates" can not own or operate an affiliate program to be considered.
An important note: Programs not exhibiting at the event can not sponsor you. If they say, 'you're on their list' and they are not exhibiting, they are lying to you....there is no list for them
We have some affiliates that don't mind spending the money to come. For them, its both a matter of principle plus they do it out of "their personal respect to me." You don't need to be this altruistic, but there are people like this at CAC.
Please relook at it from the perspective of the program. They want value from the event.
Hope that helps.

The txt version is on GaryTheScubaGuy.com and I heard the ppt is on the CAC site.
If not call my office +44 (0) 113 242 6222 and get Jon or Anthony to zip it and send. Its nearly 100 frames and over 10k so I am having difficulties nesting it anywhere
Cheers
