Default CalvinAyre.com to cease publishing gambling news

In case you missed it last week, it was announced that CalvinAyre.com, the gambling news website launched in 2009 and named after the one and only, Calvin Ayre, would cease publishing gambling news so Ayre can "focus 100% on the success of Bitcoin SV."

In a message on the site, Ayre said:

I didn’t invent online gambling, but I saw its potential early enough to help shape the industry in ways that allowed it to emerge from the shadows into the mainstream. My support for Dr. Wright’s vision is intended to realize a similar Cambrian explosion of innovation that will leave this world a better place than I found it.

My primary focus may have changed, but you never forget your first love. So for those who came looking for archived CalvinAyre.com gambling articles, they live on [here]. For those looking to learn more about the endless possibilities of BSV – including how it will impact the gambling industry – I encourage you to visit [CoinGeek.com] and join me on my next great adventure.

Who’s up for changing the world?
    Editor-in-Chief Bill Beatty added:

Calvin Ayre has been primarily focused on Bitcoin SV for a long time. The decision to cease reporting on the gambling industry is in no way a slight to the gambling industry but rather a signal to the gambling industry as to how much Calvin believes in Bitcoin SV and it’s future.

The gambling industry will always hold a fondness in his heart, but he is 100% laser focused on the success of Bitcoin SV. Calvin Ayre hopes that his dedication to Bitcoin SV will encourage others in the gambling industry to take unbiased analytical review at the technology behind BSV as it is Bitcoin in its truest form in accordance with Satoshi Nakamoto’s Whitepaper.

Calvin Ayre believes bitcoin SV is the best technology for the gambling industry and, he wants the gambling industry to come along on the journey.

I just hope this will not be a new McAffee.

BSV is the "ugly stepsister" of the crypto world.

Prices today of bitcoin and it's B@st@rd forks :
    - BTC $51,000+
    - BCH $533
    - BSV $191

No-one wants BSV, no-one uses BSV ... it's dead Jim.

If you were seriously trying to "just" do only gambling reporting, you'd choose a high frequency ecosystem (not one that blocks every 10 minutes), create a cheap proprietary blockchain on it with an unlimited token supply (not 21 million) so that the price stays at a fraction of cent and reporting can be done cheaply, and begin work from there.

This current posture is simply trying to find purpose for BSV and as a result it hopes to raise the price of BSV and the value of the millions of BSV tokens held by Mr Ayre, Dr Wright and associates.

If you could just put the price/store of value mindset aside for the moment I know there are some very strong opinions within the crypto space, but for the rest of the people reading this thread, if you just focus on the tech, the opps are super exciting. Take a look at what people like Jack Liu are doing with blockchain. Applications like Tonic Pow. Twetch. Bitboss. All possible because of the low transaction fees, stable protocol, instant payments, ability to handle high volume of transactions, etc. Think data integrity. The fusion of data & money. This is why Calvin is excited about the technology- he sees the potential as he did with iGaming in the early 2000s.

If anyone has any questions/thoughts on how this all applies to the gaming space, please do not hesitate to reach out- I'd love to have a productive discussion on this!
