Default Campeon Affiliates (deducting a lot after closing a month)

    Hi all,

Any of you guys working with Campeon (Campeon Affiliates)?
Wondering if you guys have the same issue as us?

Recent months we send them traffic and a few good players. Stats and revenue looked pretty decent untill.......

Campeon sends you an email when they closed the month. You can invoice them the outstanding amount in Income Access.
From that moment it gets worse.... An example (see screens)

In may 2020 we send them a few players with a total deposit of 6k+ ass you can see in underneath screen we made around €1770 in commission. Sounds pretty normal with a net rev of 5.6k, doesnt it?

But after the month end we got an email that our commission was calculated (see screen underneath)
They deducted 1.6k in bonuses. So on a total commission of €1770 and a net rev of 5.6k we have €1600 in bonuses....
And the end of the month we could send them an invoice for 25.53??? Where did the €90 cpa go, and where did all the commission go?

    Their story.

Every month the bonus deductions happen, this is because we have some bonuses that are manual bonuses ('special non default offers') given trough live chat, email, etc). Once the data is imported from our casino provider into income access the data is not transferred for these manual bonuses. These can only be calculated after the end of month (in order to see their final conversion) and this is the reason they are being deducted at beginning of every month (for the previous one). We get the player report with all of the bonuses from every single player we receive. We check each affiliate player and the bonuses that they took. This doesn't appear in IA on the Quick summary report or on the account report because the way our casino provider transfers the data it doesn't include bonus deduction. So IA cannot "read this" automatically

It seems they give away crazy bonuses without us knowing it.... Which vanish all our commission. Is this normal? I have never seen this at any other casino we work with. And we work with 100+ brands

In june we had the same story again.

Wondering if you guys also have or had this issue with Campeon?

That is just not on. It appears they are playing fast and loose with bonuses because they can just take it out of your rightfully earned comms.

We all know how bonuses work and how hard it is to convert to actual cash. So the casino is in a win / win situtaion.

I can only ever see you being in negative with this brand every month as you are subsidising their bonuses they hand out.

Thanks for the heads up, this is one brand I will not be working with.

That is exactly what it is. It isn’t transparant. They could deduct any amount they want.
when you ask them for a screenshot of the players stats you get something that doesn’t make any sense.
so no clear answer on bonus deduction amount or so ever.
    unethical in my opinion.

These EOM bonuses, remind me of the scam a handful of RTG casinos were pulling, way back in circa 2005, and for a few years after.

They'd wait till the EOM, and then issue 'Manager Bonuses'.

These were eroding rightful commissions, to such an extent, that affiliates weren't earning a thing.

In many cases, affiliates were ending up in the RED. Worse, if the program also had NCO, the affiliate would be forced to play catch up for a week or two to clear NCO. Finally they be in BLACK, only to be cast back into the Red the following month.

Sound very much like this scam, or at least a way to shave (steal from) affiliates.

If a program is unable or refuses to supply valid proof of GGR deductions, then you can be fairly sure, they're f#cking you over.

Pretty much what GG/Natural8 is doing now and deducting all bonuses, promos, etc from your final commission amount at the end of the month instead of the usual NGR like it was for YEAAARRRSSS. They’re so big now there’s really no recourse in trying to get them to remedy this and do better for the affiliates themselves...

It smells like fraud and if you are a long time in this business you get a feeling of such things that something is wrong.

It will be not always the backend program who is bad but i would generally recommend to stay away from Income Access if possible.

But i believe in this case it's Campeon who is searching for unethical ways not to pay.

Also never seen this before in all the years. This is not correct and we would also not working with this company.

If they could proof that players received certain bonuses it would make me less angry
but never received Any valid proof and they act like this is super normal.

I have also noticed anomalies on their stats several times and the final stats they hand out are always different that it shows up at end of the month in Income access.
For example, if you go look at January stats at the beginning of February you might see 10accounts with 8 Ftd and 7cpa 10000€ Net Revenue and 3500€ Rs commission on the quick stats at Income access. but after they close the month in the middle of February the stats are something totally different. like 8accounts 6ftd 2cpa 5000€ net revenue and 1700€ RS.
It has happened to us for many months and for example, the RS commission for This February was reduced by 55% and conversions were 0 for us. that 0 conversions were explained that the landing page didn't show the exclusive bonus deal that we advertise but my experience with similar offers to our customers on similar brands have not ever been even close to 0 conversions also without landing page stating the exclusive bonuses that we offer.

I will start now collect daily account reports and compare those to the stats that they give when they close the month mid-march and see what has been changed.

    Anyone else with similar experiences?

Manual bonuses... They can say whatever about this bonuses. I wonder why players anyway take bonuses from them. They have horrible terms. It sounds like shaving.
