Default Can you make a living?

Hi, I'm new at this so sorry for asking a question that has probably been answered a million times.

I am currently considering trying to get a good site runing to try to generate extra income and maybe abandon my 8-5 routine. I know it is "possible" to make a living of your casino portals, but what does it take. How many sleepless nights of computer screen radiation treatment does it typically take in order to get your first site off the ground and running?

If you build it... will they come?

If you have an opinion, please let me know.

    Thanks

i suggest not quitting your 8-5 until you are making good money, it is very difficult starting out in a saturated market - try it in your spare time see what you can do

Good advice xbookie I make a living at this (just about ) but I have been doing it for over four years now. Im not sure given the current climate and the uncertainty over the anti-gambling bill I would have been so eager to start right now. By all means give it a try in your spare time your portal may take off and you may be able to give up your full time job. There are a lot more part-time gambling webmasters than full time ones. Im not trying to put anyone off just being realistic

I was able to quit my day job about 15 months after I started my first site, but this does take a lot of hard work. So to anwer your question -

If you build it... will they come? Not necessarily - this ain't the Field of Dreams, babe.

Ok, thx for the advice. I'm not planning to quit my job yet . I'm going to work on my site, and hope something nice comes out of it.

After reading a lot of the posts in the forum I think I have a good idea of what's ahead if I want to suceed.

Again, thanks for the info and I'll probably be linking my site eventually to get a few reviews and comments
