We were thinking to put in some wiki pages some of our website's links in the sources. We were not so sure if this would have some value to our website.

Could you please tell us why you believe this is a sure fail to help us consider our options?

There are normally moderators who 'own' specific subjects. Most will be on the ball, they're notified when someone edits a page, and they'll go look at it and remove any links. They'll let you know they did it though (probably), so you could in theory just plead ignorance....and if you do enough, they might miss one.

The argument that ' I was adding this because I thought it would be useful to visitors' is highly unlikely to hold up.

Links to affiliate portals are very difficult to get to "stick" in Wikipedia. If the person who "owns" the page doesn't catch you, it's highly likely that someone else will come in and edit out your link. You can put it back of course, but that often starts a war of deletions and additions and you will lose that war when a real Wikipedia moderator comes onto the scene (and they will).
