Cannot believe the European Union hasn't got better things to do!

You may know that StanJames.com sponsor one of the major Horse racing Festivals here in the UK. Called the 2,000 Guineas, the race is one of the 'Classics' of the English racing season and will be run in early May.

The race has a long heritage and has now been a major event in the Sporting calendar for over 200 years.

For the last few years we have have sent a considerable amount of money sponsoring this event and today we were supposed to sign off on all the inventory, branding, merchandise - literally everything, before the Easter break but we came in today to be told that a fax had been received from an Austrian law firm demanding that we 'cease and desist'

Don't understand what the European Union has to do with a letter sent by an Austrian law firm? Is that firm referring to any EU law?
