Thumbs down cash4referrals.com spam - Warning to all casino operators/affiliate managers

Ok, because of the amount of e-mails we have received to not only our website e-mails, And personal e-mails i thought i would start a new thread.

    First reason for concern

In total we have had a total of 27 e-mails now in the last 48 hours. Spam is one of the issues.

Second Reason is i have done a little checking on the website its self xxhttp://www.cash4referrals dot com

They claim to be in business since 2008 offering there service and having casinos such as Doyle Casino and Cleopatras Casino as there clients,

The strange thing is, and take note since there very good at what they do and produce results they still have not completed there website, It is a template that they are using and it still has info they have forgotten to edit. "I Took Screen Shots" just incase they decide to quickly update.

Under there security page xxhttp://cash4referrals dot com/index-7.html

It still needs to be updated, see for yourself.

Now for why i am a little concerned,

here is what they take care of:

We build your marketing program, recruit and manage affiliates and track your results all from one easy to use program.
Our customers value our commitment to client relationships, unbeatable leads, and our proprietary technology.
I dont understand why these guys are sending emails to us affiliates.

If they are trying to pass off as an agency to market and deal with casino affiliates on behalf of the casino, wouldnt you think they would be a little more professional within there website and finish there template before sending out thousands of emails.

I would have also thought since they have been so great at driving traffic to casinos they would have more than 4 sites linking to them.

Sorry if it is just me, But this screams out Caution to casinos.

Sorry if i have read into this wrong but this is my view, I received a reply from John Cab "Presumed Owner of the site" after i asked how he got my email addresses and he commented off a list... Strange as i only created our domain email address a few days ago and have not used it yet. He has failed to provide me any info on what list and i am yet to receive a further response.

It would be great John if you register an account here and explaine a few things since most online casinos visit THIS site?

I have also emailed the hosting provider about the amount of spam and directed them to another thread here that people are starting to be spammed by this guy.

To the owner of the site

It's very easy to upload a few photos, make your site look gambling related and try to pass off something your not. However, you havent even edited your html coding for your website title or anything... Give up why you are ahead!!!

    Sheesh

    Default John here

I wasnt trying to spam you guys. Sending multiple msg's with obviously NO type of affiliate link or spam inside wasn't spam at all..It was a mistake.

The mailer i used was not registering the amount of times the submit button was hit, and it ended up blasting you more over then once.

Yes, there is a page there with the original template text from our upgrade that needs to be edited, but that's just it. Honestly you cant say you have never saved a page from your template for future editing? The template is brand spanking new, the company is not.

No, its not a scam, No, i didn't mean to email you 30 times. It was a simple mistake and im sorry. If your not interested in receiving quality players, then i have no reason to bug you. I hope the flame stops with my apology, that's all i can really offer.

We are a CPA Network focused towards gaming. I have over 300 invite only publishers, they run traffic on various verticals for all of my clients. We deliver some of the best players around, and can be used to make affiliate sales or direct sales.

Ill see if some of my past clients do not mind posting here, since im sure a good % of people do.

NOTE: I am no longer attempting to use the same tool to mail, obviously it has caused problems for an otherwise legit service. You will NOT be receiving any more emails.

Hi there, we found your email on casinoaffiliateprograms.com.

NovaMedias is the new leader in the Casino-Poker market in Canada and America and we’re about to offer you to take the best decision you could take for your business this year. We understand that your time is your money and we're willing to put our money where our mouth is, what else could you ask for a successful business partnership?

From Casino to Bingo and from Poker to Lottery, we have our way into all of these markets fulfilled with tons of real money player that are coming from our partnerships with the top industry sites and portals exclusive to our business. Most of our players are from Canada but we also own enormous lists of players from USA, UK and Europe as well.

NovaMedias is able to provide your company hundreds of craving players desperately looking for a new domicile to gamble, let that place be your website.

We administer a private affiliate database of over 400 very active gaming Canadians affiliates and over 200 from other location (mainly USA and Europe). We take care of all the administration, training, and payouts, there is no extra work for our clients.

As said previously, we own a gigantic email database of gaming aficionados that are begging to subscribe and deposit on your platform. We identify our active players by scrubbing our list monthly to make sure our business partners can get their return of investment quickly after we close a deal. All of our opt-in are quality leads, from 100% Opt-in sources, and are never generated through incentivization.
Our service is all about quality, we don’t abide any spam or any other related promotion method. Other advertisers may brag about their databases of 50-100 million names or more, but dead names and spam harvested or purchased emails = zero acquisitions for your company, and more often than not, annoying spam complaints and obviously, you don't want that.

That has nothing to do with me. Do not get it wrong, you may have gotten a bulk amount of the same email ACCIDENTALLY from us, but we are not anything else but ourselves. You can look up our business license and company. You can call the Toll free number and speak with me directly.

As i said before, our mailer was not working how it was supposed to, it was code used for something else that did not seem to work the way we wanted. It caused a disruption, and we apoligize.

Im not sure if someone now has decided to rip off our site who we may have mailed accidentally, but i can assure you, that's not us.

Im not in the business of selling "email databases" or anything else of the sort. Our publishers use verticals in every aspect of internet marketing, but in no way would i say our email comes from "email databases". We have publishers who use channel related blogs, web placement, and media outlets to drive traffic.

We broker a deal for them and we allow them to choose high converting creatives and jump pages to further increase quality and speed. In my experience, most databases are dead or hacked, something illegal and bound to bring a ton of complaints. I wouldn't deal with them.

Nothing has been mailed out all day from us, and the tool we were using does not even exist on the server anymore. You will not be getting further mails from our company.

    Thumbs up ok

If you are now saying the e-mails might not be from you, Why are they still promoting your website URL.

All I say is stop it. I don't want your spam and remove our email addresses from your list. If it continues i will take this matter further with your hosting provider and request your site be suspended...

There are to many people getting spammed by this for the hosting company to ignore it. I have checked headers in your emails and they are from your server. They point back to your hosting company.

I suggest if you have issues with your mailing programs or scripts then disable your site till you have it working correctly. If you don't your site will end up not only blacklisted, but google will also be contacted.

Stop the emails end of story!!!

It doesnt matter what your company does or who they work with, Just stop the spam.

They are not from today, they cant be. If anything they are from yesterday evening. I did stop and as i said before the program NO LONGER EXISTS on the server, you should NOT be getting anything.

It does me NO GOOD to send you that same email over and over.

Please, i have stopped mailing everyone and anyone. Im asking you not to portray a mistake as an act of spam. I have a reputation to uphold myself.

    Hi John

I too have received a number of these emails. I lost count because I just deleted them all...

A hint - when you are trying to drum up business for your company, a personalised email goes a long way. Perhaps you'll consider this in the future. You may not be able to reach the same amount of people in a short amount of time, but I can guarantee that you will see better results this way.

    Cheers

Sorry John but I am just not buying your apology. Maybe it is because I have received a little over 60 emails from you in the past 24 hours AND I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out who you are and how you got my email address.

Before I got into affiliate marketing, I worked in network security and those skills sure do come in handy.

I do believe I know where you scrapped my email address from and I have been studying your emails and domains. I have been busy.

I think your real name is Jon McLennon from Schiplaken, Belgium. Online user name seems to be Cabuki and you sometime can be found at blackhatworld.com

Now when these honest people get suspicious and you come in and reply real nice, I think you guys refer to that as social engineering. Seems like it was about to work, these nice folks seem to be the forgiving type.

So why are you scrapping emails and doing email blasts (you really should spend a little time and learn how to set the autoresponder up correctly - I guess you are not elite over at blackhatworld.)

My guess is your hustle is to try to get people to prepay you for player sign ups. Did you plan on scrapping players emails from forums and signing up fake people or were you just trying to get a deposit and then disappear with the money.

I am not going to ask you to remove me from your email list because every time you email me I will trace it back and find out a little more about you. You seemed to have a couple of friends doing the same thing. In the last couple of days there has been a reoccurring theme to the spam that I am receiving. So Jon, aka Cabuki, you and your friends keep scrapping emails and sending out blasts, you may find a few folks that are foolish enough to prepay you but there will also be peolpe like me who will spend the time to track you down and work with the authorities when appropriate and make sure that I reveal your hustle to as many people as possible.

What are you talking about? Im not in belgium, my name isnt Jon Mcglennon or whatever you said it was. Way to butcher my last name and call me something else. Now you also say im a scam artist?

Seriously, this is getting out of control. Now not only is this post wierd as all hell, but your just not blatantly lying. Honestly this has to end somewhere, ill contact the administrators of the board see if they can help me.

There was no autoresponder (what the hell is that), just a simple php script to send mail from my site.

Its obvious you have NO idea whats going on and way to much time on your hands buddy. Next time, try stating the right facts, might be why you dont have your security job anymore..LOL

Mods or admins, can you please lock or delete this thread. Its seriously getting out of hand. This guy is now shooting nonsense out of his ass. This thread is honestly turning into slander and getting a little to wierd for me. I made a mistake, i apoligized, and no one should be getting emails.

I suggest that everybody create a file and save all the spam that you are receiving of this nature. Also save all skype messages. It seems to be a group of people who are attacking the online casino industry.

    John Powers
    Global Casino Promos
    848 N. Rainbow Blvd. #732
    Las Vegas, NV 89107

    1-800-227-1577

That's a mail drop address in Las Vegas.

On the spam I am getting they all have 800 #'s. I have not verified all the 800 numbers but the one's I checked are owned by ringcentral.com At ring central you can rent/lease an 800 number for about 10 bucks.

So far it looks like we are dealing with people scrapping email addresses, sending out big email blasts, and trying to hide behind mail drop address, rented 800 #'s and registering their websites with whois guard. They are making mistakes that will allow us to find the real people behind the fake companies.

Why would anyone go to this trouble? It seems that they are looking for prepayment. They want the cash before they deliver the players and why do you need to pay them first ... maybe they are going to take the money & run.

As long as your not comparing me to these other so called companies, that's fine.

Our office is located in New Jersey, im based in the USA...not belgium or vegas.

Everyone has 800 numbers, your really going to say having a toll free number now means your a scammer? Seriously?

Your also saying as well because i bought a domain, i have gaming traffic, and i want to push players, then that's a scam? So really your saying almost everyone who posts here is a scammer..affiliates and all.

i don't know who you got that email from, who John powers (Close to austin powers much?) is, nor do i care. I figured this would happen when i tried to post and state my case.

If you have another company to bash, open a new thread. No reason to compare my site and company to every piece of spam you receive.

Look, A number of people have received spam from or about your site. Personally i don't really give a rats ass as to who is sending it. It is about a domain you OWN. Find out who is doing it, and i suggest you do something about it. End of story.

Your site is also listed on alexa stats as 2,878,099 with a US rank of 730,734 and only 4 sites linking to you. I would guess that you are trying to get as many sites linking to yours by the amount of spam rubbish we are all receiving.

At the end of the day we are getting spammed about your site = Your Problem, Quit with the poor me rubbish and do something about it. Since you have been in this industry I am sure you are aware at avenues you could take. Its not that hard to find out by email headers as to where the emails are coming from.
