CBG Affiliate Series Of Poker

Hey All,

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce today the schedule and prizes for the upcoming Canadian Affiliate Seires Of Poker, with the live final being held in Niagara Falls on Friday August 27th 2010.

The dates of the tournaments will be as follows:

· Wednesday July 14th 2010
· Sunday July 25th 2010
· Wednesday August 4th 2010
· Sunday August 8th 2010
· Wednesday August 11th 2010
· Wednesday August 18 2010
· Sunday August 21st 2010

All Wednesday games will start at 9pm EST
All Sunday games will start at 3pm EST

All qualifying games will be played online at gr88.com and will be totally free for all affiliates.

Affiliates can only qualify once for the final event, and in the event of any given affiliate winning a qualifying event more than once, second place finisher will receive the entry.

Starting chips will be set at 2000 chips, and blinds will be set at 15 mins with the blinds starting at 10/20.

There will be 2 additional finals places awarded to the final event, as a draw which will take place just prior to the start of the Final table.

The final table will be filmed on location, and all finalists will be given GR88 prize packages!

The Prizes will be as follows:

1st Place: Apple I PAD, $500 into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months at 60% commission! + Trophy and bragging rights for 1 year!

2nd Place: Apple I PAD, $300 into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months at 55% commission

3rd Place: Apple I Pod Touch, $200 into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months at 55% oommission

4th Place: Apple I Pod Touch, $100 into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months commission at 50%

5th Place: Bottle Of Booze, $50 Into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months commission at 45%



6th Place: Bottle Of Booze, $50 Into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months commission at 45%

7th Place: Bottle Of Booze, $50 Into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months commission at 45%

8th Place: Bottle Of Booze, $50 Into your GR88 Poker account and 3 months commission at 45%

All Affiliates who wish to participate, must be preregistered on the CBG affiliate website...

Monday afternoon my husband and daughter were involved in a car accident.My daughter suffered a concussion and some neck and back injuries ,my husband has some shoulder and back injuries.The New car we bought , his baby was totally destroyed when a driver went through a red light and made a left turn in front of him.

Anyway been a crazy week with 8 hours yesterday in the hospital for my daughter to get a CAT scan and confirmation of her concussion plus dealing with insurance companies etc.Specially want to say thanks to my friend Hakan who has helped keep things running for me and I have not even had time to talk to my friends here to even tell them of the accident.

Cars can be replaced but now i am so lucky that my husband and daughter survived ,the car is totally destroyed all airbags went off and it was like you see in a cartoon or funny movie , when we went to get some personal things from the car in the storage facility ,Dean closed the car door and part of the fender fell off.Yes it is that bad ,the other guy has been charged and we will get the car replaced ,we got the head rest covered (custom made) and license plates that was about all that was salvaged from his car.We are definitely thanking God it is just a car loss.

Wow Judy, I'm happy to hear Dean and your daughter came away relatively unscathed. You're right, cars can be replaced, but this was Dean's baby! What a shame.

Family first! Everything else can wait.

Judy, thanks for the update and glad no one was seriously injured. I been through a terrible car accident and it is always tramatic, especially with your kids in the car.

I am going to Niagara falls this weekend to check out the new games room decor ,We rented that suite for saturday night and ill try out all spots at the poker table to see which is the hot seat then when i kick your ass you can use that as excuse.

Did anyone find the game for this Sunday?...no idea where it was listed. I searched everywhere on the GR88 poker client and found nothing listed at all.....

Seriously, how am I to take first if I can't find the game to start with.....lol!!!!

Doug - I thought there was only one game and it was going to be held the weekend before the CBG Weekend.... Aug 22 - I think.

The new Gr88 rep posted something about it on PAL. I'll see if I can find it.

Took some digging but here's the info...

Affiliates attending the CBG weekend can qualify for the Great 8 in the following 3 ways.

1. By playing an online qualifying tournament in the GR88.com poker room on Sunday August 21st at 3pm EST. The top 3 finishers will qualify for the Great 8 final table, and the winner will received $500 in their GR88 player account – which should cover their hotel room at the CBG weekend.*
2. By signing up as an affiliate at GR88affiliates.com and placing a GR88 Poker advertisement on your affiliate website between July 21 and August 21 2010. We will randomly draw an affiliate’s name to play the Great 8 final table in the week preceding the event.*
3. By showing up on the night at 8:30pm and participating in one of the qualification events to be run by GR88 staff in the first hour of proceedings. Four affiliates will be chosen to play the Great 8 final table on the night. We’re not announcing beforehand just how we’re going to decide these 4 lucky affiliates, but you can be assured it won’t be poker related, and should be a lot of fun.

I was disappointed to see GR88 not stick to the event colin announced.They (colin) also promised some pro players but I have no idea if they will be bringing them now.I will ask Kris to post in this thread to clarify things for us.

Kris you do not have to play to get a bounty on your head LOL. I disagree with you on affiliates not having time to play ,we run poker games all the time for our players what's one more.Oh well , you saved Doug great deal of pain lol

I hope a lot of people play, but when it is only attendees of a live event that are eligible, it narrows the field. We've only had a couple of people request the entry coupon so far, so get in there folks, it could be an easy $500.
