    Hello Everyone!
    It gives me great pleasure to Announce our SEO Speaker for the
    2010 CBG AFFILIATE WEEKEND - LESLIE CARRUTHERS!

    As a search engine marketer Leslie Carruthers helps medium,

    large and enterprise level businesses make Google, Bing and
    Yahoo! sell for them. Her firm, The Search Guru, drives targeted
    traffic to their websites, improves conversion rates and increases
    rankings.
    A seasoned Internet marketing professional and search engine
    marketer, her background includes twelve years in Internet
    marketing and nine years in search engine marketing.
    Leslie Carruthers is President of The Search Guru, a search
    engine marketing company serving medium, large and enterprise
    level businesses who think big. She has made presentations
    to the national Direct Marketing Association (DMA), Search

    The 2010 CBG Weekend will be held on 8/27 – 30, 2010 in Niagara Falls, Canada.

    Goals and Objectives
    :
    1. Present an educational 101 level workshop designed to guide individuals through Search Engine Optimizations Best Practices and empower them to take their sites and affiliate earnings to the next level


    2. Answer questions from beginners to intermediate to advanced search marketers


    3. Explore how best practices SEO can support attendees affiliate work

    Instructional Strategies:

    1. Instruction is interactive, teaching with all modalities (auditory, visual and tactile), with audience participation. Leslie will use real life examples from attendees, field questions, perform Site Clinics providing real time recommendations (if Internet connection is available), lead the class in written exercises and more, all facilitated via a PowerPoint presentation. Teaching to all modalities ensures that this experiential learning opportunity leaves participants ready and able to apply what they learned. The bottom line objective is that attendees leave with actionable items they can apply at their own websites to generate leads and fulfill on their mission. To that end Leslie will share actionable tips and strategies that attendees can apply immediately and make the search engines (Google, Yahoo!, etc.) turn their web sites into a lead generating, cash-churning, high ROI (return on investment) lead generating machine.

    2. Key terms will be defined and base level concepts explained in easy to follow, everyday language. We will demystify the world of Search Engine Optimization. Attendees will feel competent about what they can do themselves and if they choose to outsource that they can work with their web site vendors to make their web sites search engine friendly.

    3. We request that a few of the attendees allow us to incorporate real life examples from their curent websites into the presetnation, so participants see the work in action. To have your site considered please email your website address to eventplanner@cbgaffiliateweekend.com .Leslie will walk particpants through those real life examples with screen shots and instruction on how those site owners can take their websites to the next level. If a live internet connection is available Leslie will also include a Site Clinic. In that she will review attendees sites on the fly, calling on the audience members to practice their new found skills, auditing their own sites as well as those of peers. This experiential learning ensures that attendees are able to apply what they learned when they return home to their desks. Also provided will be a digital PDF handout and links to online resoruces such as a glossary of terms, so participants can speak with technical resources and web developers and designers confidently, in their language. ebooks will be available to purchase for those attendees who desire additional support after the session. And we’ll share a sense of time required and fees typical for outsourcing.

    You’ll discover strategies for keyphrase research and development, link building, content strategies, blogging and much more. And we’ll cover the top mistakes web site owners make. Whether you are new to Search Marketing or have already used Google, Yahoo! and Bing to drive leads for your business you’ll leave this session with a list of lead-driving AI’s and a clear sense of how much time you’ll need to do it.

    And you’ll leave knowing:
    1. what your immediate opportunities are,
    2. where to focus now if you’ve implemented an initial search marketing effort and
    3. the long term areas that always produce.

    Handouts: No need to take copious notes – stay present and download the digital document / PDF overview of the Saturday session will be provided for the event’s website and will also be available at TheSearchGuru.com.     I'm sure Dale and Mike will find something to do.... Dale may just take you up on the helicopter ride. LOL. She's bugging me to go up on the Ferris Wheel.
