    Default Chargebacks taken from MGR , higher than commission industry standard?

    hi guys,

    I had a couple of chargebacks on one of the affiliate programs.
    they are taking the chargeback out of my MGR, gross commission, so in the end it will effectively cost me my revshare percentage (35% of the chargeback).

    however, i currently have 2 chargebacks where the 35% is exceeding the commission i ever made from these players.
    i was under the impression that a chargeback should not be more than you ever made from a player.
    my affiliate manager says it's industry standard, and all companies are doing it like this.

    1.
    is this true? can a chargeback end up higher than the commission you made on that player that does the chargeback?

    2.
    does somebody know how bettingpartners, intertops or winning poker network is handling chargebacks? do they do it the same way?

    Every charge-back carries a fee, it varies but for high risk merchants the fee is usually higher

    Normally it will reflect your rev share. So you get deducted say 35% of the total chargeback. BetOnline (commission.bz) is the only firm I know who remove 100% of the chargeback from affiliate earnings. This thread discussed the issue at length:

    that's no longer the case, they have changed that a while back.
    now they just take out the complete chargeback out of the gross revenue, no longer from affiliate earnings.

    however, i have the situation as follows, i will give 2 examples:
    lets say example player 1 deposited $1000
    i got 35% in earnings => $100
    player 1 does a chargeback for $1000
    my deduction is -$1000 from gross, which leaves me with a negative commission of -$350.
    i am under the impression that the actual earnings should be reversed, so -$100, not -$350.
    at this point $350 is taken out, now this player is costing me +$100 - $350 => $250.

    example player 2
    let say he deposited $1000
    he won in sports betting, so i'm at -$500 in net revenue earnings
    player 2 does a chargeback for $1000
    my deduction is -$1000 from gross, which leaves me with a negative commission of -$350.
    i am under the impression that the actual earnings should be reverted, so +$500, not -$350.
    at this point $350 is taken out, now this player is costing me -$500 - $350 => $850.

    these are fake player names and numbers, but both are real situations.

    what are industry standards in these situations at other brands? can anybody let me know which brands do what in these scenarios?

    i have spoken with bettingpartners already, they 'take back what they paid', which is sounding logical and fair to me.

    I find casinos just deduct whet they want, usually 100% and blame you for the chargeback, even though most are pattern charges they should be able to see coming.
