Default Cleaning your house - removing affiliates accounts and moving on.

How often do you guys clean your house? i mean how many times have you closed by your will a program account? I wonder about this, today i did some cleaning and i asked to close all the rogue and predatory casino and poker affiliate programs i was still a part of, some of this accounts had over 6 years. Im proud to say i will no longer dwell in the past thievery done to me and others, from now on i will ignore this issue, stfu and work my ass off with who deserves and helps me for real.

This ones got the lucky boot today...

    affutd.com
    europartners.com
    betboo.com
    Beaffiliates.com

With this one and 24poker this makes 4 programs i ask a closure. How about you guys? how many have you dropped?

    Lack of trust
    NCO = Negative Carry-Over

Dear Joe, i assume you are new, but this bunch came to be named affutd only to shake off the heat and bad reputation they had with their real name, Cpays. cpays took my earnings on several programs they simply bought, many small affiliate programs i was part of when promoting poker online.

So i have had several accounts that simply disappeared or got merged overtime, needless to say migration after migration was a disaster.

The move to promote such a up until then respected bookie like WH is only a move to clean face, (cant believe WH lefts its face with this group...) now i also had an account with WH since the Cryptologic days and was one of my favourite casinos and outfits until this guys took over...

It also has been rumoured many times in the past that Europartners and Cpays, and by extension affutd are indeed the same thing, and i believe in this also, many times the same person working and contacting me for europartners was the same that would promote WH or some other affutd spam, many managers over the years have passed by me and those accounts and i could do the math myself cause i am not stupid...

I understand dropping programs, but why close the accounts? Assuming you're on rev share isn't that just (potentially) handing them a bunch of your future earnings.

none of the above had nothing but residual income i could not get paid anyway either because of NCO or because of quotas, so no real loss imo...

I didn't bother to actually close my aff account, but instead; the bookie I have chosen to 'forget' and remove the bookmark from my browser this year has been:

Ladbrokes For it's absolute incompetence doing anything on the affiliate side of things. As discussed many times on the other thread.

I'm sure many others have done the same over the past year.

Most affiliates will continue to promote an affiliate program until it stops making them money. Very simply, we all have bills to pay, and if an affiliate program is going to slap me with a huge negative carryover, or suddenly add a minimum player activity quota while holding onto my earnings, then I will remove their listings. If sponsor B is going to offer me a much better deal than sponsor A, then I'll definitely give sponsor B better exposure. An affiliate program can be as affiliate friendly as it likes, but if it doesn't generate an income, then it won't last long.

I've never closed any accounts either, just in case I suddenly resurrect an old player further down the line but you have to clean house quite often because there are some shady programs out there.

What most don't seem to realise is that with shaving, long-term, they're doing themselves as much harm as anyone.

Every quarter (3 months) we review ALL program performance.

If there is a program not performing we will discuss with AM first and then monitor for an additional quarter.

If the program still fails to deliver then we terminate the relationship and change all affiliate details on the site. Details like name, address, banking details, anything that could be an identifying characteristic.

I am not comfortable leaving valid information on the websites of programs I do not work with.

In the past I promoted 130+ programs, but I discovered the famous 20/80 rule applied to me as well. Meaning 20 percent of the promoted programs generate 80 percent of my income. So I picked the 50 best performing programs and ditched the rest. I stick to 50 and only add&remove one or two programs every month. Not closed the old accounts though, since they still might generate some revenue in the future.
