    Default CLUB DICE DIVERTING TRAFFIC

Hello everybody. I'd like to share ith you a letter I sent to Club Dice not 15 minutes ago. I came straight here afterwards.

    Hello,

    My name is Randall Ashby
    My affiliate id is kidd75219

Please cancel my affiliate account effective immediately. My linksmanager alerted me this morning that your link was dead. I checked it this evening and it was working OK. The reason I am closing my account is I don't like you sending my traffic to my competition. When I exited your website I was immediately taken to Online Casino Reports. I thought it might be a mistake so I tried again and it sent me there a second time. I am on my way to login at GPWA so I can post this on some of their forums. I hope that I can get everybody there to drop you too. I hope you are making enough advertising revenue from that one portal to make up for all the players that you lose from the webmasters I hope to convince to drop you like a hot potato. I've been thinking about creating a blacklist page on my website and you have just convinced me. You will be on the top of that list.
    oon:
    Thank you

Go ahead and take a look for yourself and decide if you want to keep them.

    See you later

    Hi All,
    Randall is playing unfair games.
There are 2 things that the forum should know:

First, in order to pay the high percentage webmasters receive from us and to maintain the special program where webmasters are not charged for processing in the first 3 months, nor reserve holding on them, there is the SMALL added value of the exits. If Randall would have contacted me before he decided to leave our program, we could probably have worked out some acceptable solution.

Secondly, even if he wishes not to work with us (although I hate to loose any affiliate) why would he actively set out to hurt our business just because he doesn't agree with they way we work? Maybe there are other reasons he might want to hurt us? Like being a competitor that can't compete? go figure...

Below is part of the email I sent him this morning, notice that he went and published this post without even giving me a chance to answer him. It is imperative that online casinos treat both their players and affiliates fairly. It is equally important that players and affiliates treat the online casinos fairly. By not giving me even the slightest chance (not to mention a fair chance) to answer him by email before posting his message (15 minutes between his email and his post on a weekend) I feel that Randall's actions were both unjustified and unfair.

    Hi Randall,
    ...........
    ..........
Regarding the exit traffic, we made no secret about it, and if you check in the different forums at GPWA you can see that. ...... I would like to know, why you did not ask me about it before deciding both to leave our affiliate program and trying to convince other webmasters not to work with us by your post at the GPWA.

Don't get me wrong, if you do not like the way we work it is your right not to work with us and no one is disputing that (although I am sure that we could have worked something out had you asked me about it) . However I feel that your post in the public forum is "A punch below the belt". If you do not want to work with us, so be it (although I hate to loose any webmaster big or small), but why would you want to actively hurt our business just because you do not agree with the way we do things?

Please let me know your thoughts on these.

    Ut oh..... :-?

Randall is not a GPWA member yet. He's applied to become a member and be admitted to the private forums, but hasn't been approved yet.

Alon has posted in his private forum with GPWA that any member with a serious objection to the exit they run now, only needs to write him, and it will be removed.

This looks like someone has been reading the boards at WOL and thinks that's how things are supposed to be handled.

The GPWA does not handle things like this, tho. We believe most things can be handled and resolved thru positive negotiation, and have proven that many times. We're all in this to make money, and should be working together to achieve that.

    hi all,

Please accept my humble apologies for my post. I did react way to quickly and did not give Club Dice a chance to respond to my email. I handled things completely wrong. Being as I am not admitted to the private forums yet, I didn't realize about the option to have the pop removed. I didn't realize everybody already knew about this. I was just trying to be helpful to other webmasters. Instead of posting the way I did, I should have posted in the form of a question.

This apology is to GPWA and all its members for misuse of the forum. I hope that I didn't destroy all chances of becoming a member.

This apology is also to Club Dice for not giving them a chance. I wouldn't blame them if they didn't ever want anything to do with me.

I got off to a bad start, eh?

Well you're not the first! We all mess up sometimes, and if you've been reading WOL (which it looks like ), you probably think this is the way to do it.

Alon is a VERY nice guy, so I'm sure he'll be ok. Alon?

  WOL is short for Winner On Line.com and their forums.

    Hi Randall,
Although you got off to a bad start (your words..) I both accept your apology and would like to see you back on board with us.

At the moment we do not deduct the processing fees and security reserve from our affiliates for the first 3 months, a "grace" period. We are charged these fees but do not pass them along to our affiliates, this in order to help them out at the beginning. The exit helps (a little..) finance it, as I stated earlier.

What we are willing to do is to remove the exit window entirely, on the condition that you are willing to pass this "grace" period. In other words you would be charged the processing fees and security reserve from day one. If this is ok by you simply send me an email and I will set up your account accordingly. Please make sure that the email comes from the email registered in your account with us and has your username in it.

This option applies to all our affiliate webmasters

    Hmmmmm..... interesting.
Topic raised, answered, handled. Well done. Nice to see people willing to work together... on both sides of the fence.

This is a "mutual benefit" business.... whether it's link swapping among affiliates or traffic exchange between portals and casinos. Always important to remember that most of these doors swing both ways.

It's easy to have knee-jerk reactions about issues that directly affect our wallets. However, in business... it's usually wise to count to 10... take a deep breath... consult those who's judgment you value (such as this board)... and then react in a methodical and professional manner.

On the other hand, everyone had to touch the hot burner when they were a kid .... just to see how hot it was. If we are smart enough and mature enough to learn from our mistakes, then it's all worth it.

I applaud Alon for his willingness to suck it up... bite his tongue... and allow some leniency for a our fellow affiliate who was obviously reacting to what he saw as a potential threat to his wallet.

Handled well all the way around.

Okay.... 'nuff said...... move on.... pass the cookies, please! <grin>
