competitive keywords
Hello, friends! what keywords could you advise to use on new gambling site? should it be "free" or "real money" queries? Is it better to create a kind of general "casino games" or " slots" site or to make it more specific, for example devoted to table games (or any exact one), or to certain game? I`m on the stage of keyword research and a bit confused with the competition on every keyword group.. and want to ask you, gurus, what is the right way of thinking on this beginning and so difficult stage..how to choose right keywords in such a competitive niche? thanks a lot

Real money queries will always produce a higher quality visitor and better conversions to a real money player.
Queries using the word "free" will often produce more traffic and sometimes even more signups at properties that offer freebies, but a much lower conversion to real money players than other terms.
Your revenue, whether CPA or Revshare, is derived from real money players. Even if you find a cpa deal on freebie hunters, it will most often be short-lived if most of the traffic is from "free" terms since they will have an overall lower conversion to real money and most operators will reduce payouts on that kind of traffic of not cut you off completely or switch you to revshare.

Rick has a good point here. The "free", "fun" and "no deposit" keywords have terrible stats and worse yet, these are the players that are clogging up the support lines, writing nasty reviews and creating multiple accounts. But, it depends on what your objective is. Free keywords can be used to create a community of players, which if done right can create organic self-creating content. So there are some benefits to the "free" keywords.
Looking at player values, they are highest for blackjack, video poker, roulette, baccarat, live casino terms and Keno. Slot players are the highest volume and for this reason could be your best bet at acquiring super high value players, but the overall value is pulled down by the bonus hunters.
I would personally take 1 regularly depositing keno player over 100,000 free chip hunters. I really would.

I wouldn't use either or any of those keywords.. there is no one golden keyword that is easy to snag in this industry.. best target 300,000 and the rest will come

I would definitely avoid the keyword 'no deposit' in particular. Never leads to much in my experience promoting those types of deals.

both kw can generate earnings, just in a different way. nd - much traffic and low earnings per click. real money the opposite.
Naturally, both kw are targetted by many therefore I wouldn't count on them generating high return for a new site so it's worth spreading.

You start by targeting the low hanging fruit. Once you gain authority, you can begin to target bigger keywords.

You might be better off thinking first 'what do I know most about' or 'what can I write authoritatively about' and then focus on building a deep site putting in every element of what you know in an entertaining way (or at least one that's different in some way from the 100s of competitors, many of whom will be churning out the same stuff (not to say some are not successful doing that, but they probably have other firepower they're using, either within or against the 'rules').
You might build a deep site, start getting traffic, then you can see what keywords/searches are bringing it in and focus on improving.
