Complaint against a GPWA member

Hi,

I'm really not sure where do I want to go with this, maybe just stress my disappointment to the person in question.
Also don't want to name him for now, after all he's a respected and active member here, already interviewed in GPWA magazine.

We have a websites sale process ongoing where I bought more of his sites and up until recently there was no problem. Already received domains and content from him earlier and on time.
With the latest deal however I've already paid for 4 websites/domains 5 weeks ago but only one was transferred. The communication went from smooth to being ignored by now.

I'm positive that the person concerned will read this because he is online daily in this forum and also he is trying sell other sites on AGD as well (not sure the buyer will receive anything btw). There were 4 different excuses to date and I think I was more than patient. I'm really sorry for any of us having personal issues - not knowing of course exactly what is this and that's fine because it's totally none of my business - but it would be great to distinguish between business and private matters. Especially when transferring a domain is like 5 minutes, and he clearly has the time for activity on forums. And for 5 weeks now the site I paid for is still generating revenue for him. So please. How f*cked up this is?

It's enough to beg affiliate managers for due payments, now the last thing I want is to start this with community members.

I hope your issues will be solved soon and in a proper way. Next time just please be more direct on what's going on.

I'm not sure the size of the deal in question, but situations like these are exactly why I almost always use an escrow service (usually escrow.com). Good luck sorting it out.

I am going to have a guess at who you are talking about......if its who I think it is, I did some work for them in the past and did get paid eventually, if we are on about the same person then they are very busy and it took about 6 weeks for us to get paid. They are not a UK based affiliate if it is who I think you mean

Deffo. I've even had people fake escrow receipts, pretending they've settled up. Gotta be careful when buying and selling. We also use escrow.com - I dunno what their cut is but whatever it is, it's worth it.

Thanks. Actually it's not a big value deal in our market. What really pissed me off is the attitude how this is handled on his part.
Usually I try to be calm and patient, but since I've noticed that this distracts me from actual work I just blew off here.

Im also currently having an issue with a GPWA member - hopefully not the same individual in your case as if it is I am afraid we have both lost out. But it appears so very similar. It is really said when people cant honor the deals they make. Especially GPWA members who appear to be upstanding members. Very sad really!

If your deal does not go through i would name and shame them so no one else experiences this. That is what i plan to do shortly.

Unfortunately, no one is insured in such transactions. But the fact that this is a popular user of this forum.. it is very sad that people allow themselves such an attitude towards others.

hi! and what do you have now? any updates?

Without revealing details, we have been in contact with both parties and I can say that there has been communication, and there were discussions toward a satisfactory resolution, but I do not know the exact status of this.

I will get in touch with the OP and see if there can be an update to this thread.

It would help to know who this person is, so these things wont happen to someone else in the future. Having said that, I'm aware that as there is a communication between both parties, no details will be revealed. Hope we'll get the final result of this issue.

Im about to come out with the person who has strung me along for two months now. This community here on GPWA should really be to protect one another. I know it is hard to name the party for fear the deal will go dead, but in the end these dis honest affiliates who use GPWA to gain trust and scam other affiliates have to be publicly announced.

I gave my party a week to honor a deal or I will post all communication between us so the community will know who not to deal with.

We are here to help one another not scam one another.

Today marks the 2 months anniversary of paying for those domains.
He offered a refund 3 weeks ago, which we accepted mentioning that if the original deal goes through that's also fine for us. No reply and no refund ever since, so I close this issue here and now.
Betsharks (Batman - in AGD) is the person who for whatever reason didn't accomplish his part of the deal we made. This issue was treated poorly by him.

Rick has reached out to Betsharks and has not been able to get things to a better place. I emailed Betsharks and informed him we have temporarily banned his account until this is sorted.

I have to say I am a bit surprised as I have had dealings with him in the past and all went smoothly.

I was surprised as well. I really thought he was an honest person but I will tell you one thing.

He is not!

The fact he is banned should tell you something.
