Default Coral's Football Jackpot delivers first big winner!

Thought this might make a good basis for a news story for any Coral Connect Affiliates who are promoting our new 'Football Jackpot'

Scots barmaid picks up £52k for a £1 football bet.. but single goal costs her £948,000 jackpot

Saw this on FB actually and have been meaning to do a piece about it. Is it ok to nick the graphic from FB showing her selections?

Also whilst we on the subject I've been meaning to ask - how does the footie jackpot work in conjunction with affiliates? Would the mil (or in this case the £57k) show as a rather hefty negative or are deductions taken from each bet to cover it (ie: like a progressive jackpot). Just for my own curiosity really.

not really the same is it?

first of all he asked and it would be a photo of the womens betting slip that he's use to help promote the Coral brand

Is this the image you wanted to reuse? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...1748555&type=1

If so then yes that's fine; that graphic was created by the Coral Design Team to publicise this ladies win and that's in effect what our affiliates would be doing so permissions are already there

In terms of revenue earned on this product its essentially the same as promoting the pool betting of The TOTE - affiliates can't loose...

The cost of the winnings comes from the pool provided by all other punters, the bookie takes a slice for providing the service and that becomes our revenue which then becomes your revenue, the rest is returned as winnings so promoting Football Jackpot is a zero risk proposition for affiliates; a win, whether big or small will not generate any negative revenue for you.

So far after a couple of weeks we have paid out around a couple of hundred thousands of pounds in prizes to those who have matched most but not all of the 15 results on the coupon each week.

The major jackpot is still out there waiting to be won - Coral have guaranteed that the first person to match all 15 results on their own with no others winners getting all 15 will get their payout boosted to £1,000,000.

That was why I asked first - I figured it was probably a promo image sent out by Coral but wanted to double check. Obv wouldn't have used it without permission.

That's the one, yes - thanks mate, have duly blogged about it. Cheers also for the clarification about the jackpot - I was assuming that it was probably being run as a pool but thought I'd take the opportunity to ask.

Cheers for the Blog post - we've actually got a football jackpot landing page at http://www.coral.co.uk/the-football-jackpot

This is available in the Coral Connect back end as a link, you want me to send you over one customised for your account so you can drop players there instead of the £50 freebet landing page (although football jackpot players do still qualify for the welcome offer)

Oh ok, cool - I'll switch it this afternoon, probably makes more sense. No need to send it over though, I can grab it from the Coral back end!
