Default Cost of Gambling Going Up: APCW Perspectives for 20 September 2024

    Cost of Gambling Going Up

Every time we turn around in this industry it seems that
there's another tax, levy, or fee taking a bite out of profits.
Gambling has become a cash cow for many governments,
but they treat us like a beast of burden.

I recently mentioned something similar in another post: it feels like we are being squeezed from every angle. In fact, a few months ago, I did a full review of all my accounts because, despite working and seeing indicators that things were “going well,” I had the sense that I was running short on money. I thought I might have been overspending somewhere.

Gross revenue may look good on the surface, but once you factor in all the taxes and necessary expenses to keep things running, the picture changes quite a bit. This impacts everyone - affiliates, players, operators... And let's not even get started on the rising cost of living.

Always appreciate your hard work and effort into making these shows for us, my friend. This industry is really going through a lot of hardship at the moment, but I'm absolutely certain that online gambling and gambling venues will never cease to exist. No matter what they throw at us, we'll always have our industry. I feel very sure about that.

It's also crazy how the government is trying to ban all of the online gambling advertisements, here in Australia.

Safe travels and take care, JT. I hope you have a great time and see you again next month. It's very hard to believe that October is fast approaching already.
