    Default Dallas earthquakes manmade? maybe

    http://news.yahoo.com/unusual-dallas...181055288.html

How many more, around the country, in the future will we suffer from previous such projects long since stopped?

I agree with the scientist; definitely not a coincidence.

Back in 1985 I experienced an earthquake- Chile ( Santiago) 8.0/ 7.8, 177 people dead, 2,575 injured and also came with a tsunami. Likely the movement was up and down like a wave; if the movement was from side to side then even more people would have died.

I can tell you that you feel insignificant. Mother Nature can destroy you, your family and your worldly positions in a sec. So you don’t really need to make it even worst by having some manmade.

How many of you have experienced an earthquake?

I've never been in an earthquake before, sounds pretty scary Maria, glad you were ok though!

Interesting article by the way. He explained that the waste water being pumped into the ground lubricates faults and caused them to shift and slip.

It would be cool if the reverse was possible and that they could slow down or prevent some earthquakes by somehow drying out the faults.

I too have never experienced a quake.

I have discussed the feelings with many who have and no matter how many times people have explained what it feels like, I just can't fathom what that must be like.

To litterally have the world shake beneath your feet I think is something you just can't understand until it happens.

    I am intrigued by it.

That is scary. So now we know hydraulic fracturing causes earthquakes, who is going to tell the big oil and gas?

    They think it's perfect:
Natural gas from shale rock is providing the United States with reliable, affordable, cleaner and responsibly produced energy.
