Default D'Amato to receive $5 million large if he gets a Poker Exemption to the UIGEA

Buzzy received an e-mail with a link to pokerhelper.com's story indicating that the Poker Players Alliance will get a $5 million bonus should he be successful in working a poker exemption into the UIGEA.

Buzzy's more informed counterparts can confirm that since D'Amato's partnership with the PPA, membership has grown by nearly 40 percent.

The story loses some credibility, however, as the writer says that Full Tilt and Poker Stars have seen drops in American players, when in fact, the two poker rooms are more popular than they've ever been before.

Just got a message from the PR firm that handles the Poker Players Alliance. My contact there says that this rumor is "completely and utterly false."

Well, so much for that rumor ... that's why we call him "The Buzz"

I wouldn't count out this rumor quite yet. It could be a 5.01M arrangement
and they could say the statement is false... I'm sure there is a substantial financial arrangement between the parties.
