Darren Burns - Igaming Media Men

I want to warn you about a scammer - Darren Burns (Skype: igamingmediamen, Paypal account:
Seller's Name: charlotte o'connell


Somehow guy who is called Darren Burns pop up on my Skype and introduce him as a freelance media agency:

"Darren Burns here of IGaming Media Men, nice to e-meet you. I got your Skype handle off the 777 group chat, it looks like their Skype got hacked. I hope you didn't mind me adding you."

"we are basically a freelance media agency who deals with player databases and blackhat PPC campaigns and we are based in Sheffield in the UK. We've been round a number of years doing this sort of thing and delivering good numbers for casinos, bingo and sports betting operators. And obviously we do the bits on social media that I told you bout yesterday as well."

He has shown me 2 examples and I have decided to give him a try. I knew that I take here a risk but I couldn't find any spammy details about him. I told myself I will lose maybe some money but I will find out if he can help me or no.

After some Skype chats we have decided to sign on IO and I told him I am ready to pay him only half of the money (300$) just to see my promised campaigns live.

Again, I told myself - I am not 100% sure that he is reliable but I am ready to take the risk here.

Then he started to tell me everyday that he is waiting for approving my campaigns and I saw after few days that it's only scam:

Hey mate, I'm in and out. My account manager there says it's still pending but he's expecting it to be live at some point today.

I'm out and about a lot mate, if you can't get me on here then send me an email and I'll get back to you. Let me find out what's going on.

Hi man, how are you? I wasn't in yesterday due to my son being poorly. Let me send my account manager an email now and I'll update you when he gets back to me. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Will get you an update off my guy when I'm in the office in a couple of hours. It's only just after 7.40am here. I'm just sorting the kids out before dropping em at school.

Now he doesn't answer my Skype calls or emails.

I have forwarded that to Paypal requesting them to interfere and chargeback my money.

So you got involved and paid them money even though they clearly stated they were blackhat and dealt in player databases?

So the payment made and marketing ordered was for spam (to player databases that did NOT give permission for the mailings) or for blackhat PPC correct?

No the payment was for PPC campaign in a specific country - with ads and keywords I have provided him, not any mailings or players databases.

But he stated clearly they did blackhat PPC and have been for years.

So I am guessing it would have been ok to pay for blackhat PPC as long as the money wasn't stolen?

I agree that just because he already stated he was in to bad stuff does not make it right, and I hope that your post helps others not lose money and think twice about giving money to ANYONE for blackhat activities of any kind.

I had exactly the same story given to me, but when i started asking more genuine questions about him and his so called 7mill email and SMS contacts, such as his business name, information regarding business so that i can look more into how genuine he was, he ignored me and never replied.

I have now blocked him on skype. Do not trust anyone who cannot answer questions about his business etc,etc.

HI, i just wanted to say 2 things here

I know tal84s for quite a while and worked with him, he has never done any unethical stuff such as spamming or blackhat

Re this Darren Guy i had a brief conversation on Skype with him .. asking for flatdeals or CPA for SMS and Mails to his 7 million Player database. I told him i don't do flat rates or CPA as I don't know his sources and the quality and I never heard of him again from this point.

Mr Darren has requested from me to remove from here the post and to close the dispute on Paypal for some SMS campaigns.

I have agreed but the result was the same... he sent me "so called" traffic but it didn't generate nothing. Now of course I can't reach him for any refund.

I was maybe stupid and I lost some $$$ but never do my mistakes! Don't do any business with someone who pop up someday on your Sykpe. I have decided to take some risk but I will not do the same mistake again.

Here are more of his excuses:
I have been out for a few days again with my poorly son mate. He gets poorly regularly has he is not even a year old and has something wrong with the main valve on his heart but he is to young to have an operation for it at the moment. You know I always get back to you, just sometimes it is longer than others.


I really can't understand why none of your offers have converted. Do you work with any no deposit offers for UK players at all?

You won't get a refund or any sort of quality traffic from this group, they are known scammers, you have a better chance of someone leaving a big sack of money at your doorstep than ever getting anything from this rogue affiliate. Cut your losses now and stop living on a prayer, file your disputes with PP, hope for the best and move on.

So glad to have found this post before I send my funds over to them. I was contacted by the same skype address IGaming Media Men, the other names on the invoice which I didn't pay were David Atkinson and Mr B L White.

So if you are contacted by any of these STILL CLEAR its a scam and you will get nothing regardless of the promises and commitments and guaranteed RMPs

I just go another one of these this morning. Different variations of this email come in every 30 days or so. Pretty obvious scam, wanting money upfront for a scarce commodity.
