I don't know of a standard amount for "whale" classification, but I'd say the minimum would be about $5000 per month.. maybe less depending on the webmaster perspective..
I'm happy with anything!.. lol
I was about to say that I think this is highly dependent on the casino or affiliate. To a small casino or affiliate, a 5K/mo guy would be huge. I generally am thrilled when a single player contributes to $1000 in commissions for a month.
I dont know if they changed post UIGEA, but value of a player used to be about $1000 at casino and $2000 at a sportsbook... So it doesn't take much to well surpass those numbers.
I'd call that a whale!About $20,000 per month!

I've has a $27K Whale in a 3 week period. Over the years I've landed a few of them in the large 5 figure per month bracket. Nice to get when they lose, not so nice when they win. That was especially true when casino used to carry over your loses and the whale decided to take a few months rest.
Cheers
Dave
I have a poker player who generated $5000+ in rake fees at a certain ongame network site netting me $1325. The oddity here is that the player did this in 1 day.

You must have had a player who won a major tournament then proceeded to donk it all away at the high stakes cash tables.
Some of the high rollers who multi table the $50/$100 no limit games can generate that much rake on a regular basis.
I wish I had a couple dozen of them!![]()

Its not only deposits that matter, but even more the total wagering amount of a player and the size of bets.
"Whales" are also considered differently by each Casino out there.
Ive never seen a whale in my affil reports thus far....has to be a good feeling when they loose 10k on your account![]()
