Question Did you accomplish the goals you set for yourself in 2009?

As 2009 comes to a close it is a time for new resolutions to be made for 2010 and to reflect on what we have each accomplished in 2009.

Thinking back on your resolutions or goals for 2009, how did you fare? Were you able to accomplish or make good progress against the goals you set for yourself for this year?

Share your goals and trials and tribulations. It will be food for thought for all of us as we set goals for ourselves for the coming year.

    Default Goals reached

I actually achieved my goals for this year both personal and professional,

Immigrate to new country - check
Get a roof over head - check
    Buy a car - check
Get a job in my field - check
Learn French - semi check (ongoing)

Signed, sealed and delivered. Ended up being quite a successful year!

For the most part, all expectations were met for the most part. I do not make "resolutions" but considering what has been accomplished this year I feel rather successful. Still plenty to accomplish overall. I guess the more you do, the more you want to do. I am thankful to have a supporting and loving wife to help me on those days that the laptop is close to flying out the window.

What goals? I don't have no stinkin goals.

I don't set goals as a rule. Work hard. Work smart. Those are my rules. If I feel lazy or need a break, I take time off. No guilt or pressure.

I find I achieve what I need to and even exceed my own expectations from time to time. I earn a fairly comfortable living and enjoy life - it doesn't get better than that.

Outside of my websites, I certainly cant complain. My family is great, my day job / career is going well, we are all healthy, and I am as happy as ever.

My websites - I put that I didn't achieve my goals. I did get my content on auto-pilot thanks to a willingness to spend and outsource most of that to bloggers and writers. But the financial rewards haven't been up to par - I've had my worst year since 2004 in terms of new signups. Conversions are awful. Not sure how much of this is the economy and how much is my own failings in marketing my sites. I'm working on adding SEO stuff to my list of consultants to get my traffic up to where I feel it should be so hopefully next year I am happier with the position of my business.

Some of my goals were not accomplished and I hope I'll accomplish them in 2010.
But I have some good progress against my some other goals, for example, finally I have launched a new website. I've been planning it and working on it since April 2009, and I'm proud that I have finally launched it.

Outside of my work, everything is fine!

I voted for 'I made some progress against my goals in 2009', but that is not the whole truth because at my age I have stopped defining any goals and measuring progress. But since I do quite a few things, one of them being the casino business, I found out now in retrospection that I have made some progress in certain cases and none or very little in other cases. To be honest, that does not bother me. I am doing things which I like and actually don't care about what I achieve, not anymore.

I did horrible with my weight loss goal for 2009.I hope in 2010 I will be better with that one.As for my business goals , I think i surpassed the goals i set for myself.I was suppose to semi retire in 2009 ,that didn't happen and i expanded my business ,hired some new people , fired some people and found out nobody can do things like myself .For 2010 my work week will be max of 55 hours a week , if i can stick to that plan ill be happy .I also visited 14 new countries in 2009 so I hope I can do half that in 2010.

The year of 2009 was another swings & round-a-bouts kind of fun again. Sometimes never knowning what to expect with surprizes around the next corner.

As always I learn from my mistakes.............I hope !!!!!!! and try to guide myself to better and higher levevels of excellence for 2010.

I made lots of new friends in 2009 and as always picked up a few enimies......thats life in this Industry. You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time.

Goals are a good thing to have, but when you miss them, they can have a quite deflating effect on one's psychy (sp ?). It is important to set one's goals to be realistic and achievable.

Good luck to all in 2010 !

In terms of website income, I met my goal which was just to have a percentage increase over last year's earnings. Still not where I want to be, but hopefully will be there soon. Best of luck to everyone in 2010!

    I think I'll just re-run my 2009 goals in 2010.
