First of all I want to apologies for bumping up a relatively old topic, but after some years had passed the situation around plagiarism had become even worse
I'm checking my content really often ( maybe twice a week )and for time to time I discover that some parts of it got duplicated on the other resources without proper quoting or without referencing to the original content. Even DMCA do not help, filing a complaint could take weeks and when it comes to the information it could became old news in a matter of days.

On the other hand I found a good side in this. You can lookup for content or information just by posting a paragraph into some plagiarism checker and it will find relevant sources even better than Google does=)

I tend to check our content regularly especially when updating it with new changes that occur in our industry.

It is common sense now that we are not allowed to copy paste same content and those that are still doing it simply show that they lack education.

We do check once in a while. If anything we check more frequently to ensure that our content writers are writing unique content and not plagiarizing others and adding to the problem.

I do check sometimes, but not often enough. When I do it, it is manually.

I check more now than what I did previously. Have to add watermarks now to videos if they are reviewed earlier than some other affiliates. Use google for copyright infringement now if I email and they don't reply back. Funnily enough a site sporting the GPWA seal of approval scraped my content and images last week, got them de-indexed for that page yesterday within 24 hours.

Guys, one Q from me and please excuse my ignorance on that amazing topic.

How do you actually check if your content/copies are actually plagiarized? What are the steps you do?
I have been investing heavily in content creation -c60 articles- and I do write my own content as well, as we speak, for my upcoming projects and I would definitely like to know more about it.

Plagiarizing (content scraping) has been with us for literally years. The problem is NOT how to check for stolen content, BUT how to protect one's content, before, it is scraped (stolen)
