Question Do you devote more pages on your site to games or to gaming sites?

It is very common for affiliates to provide information about gaming sites on their portals. It is also very common to provide information about games.

How about you? Where have you put the greatest focus? Is it on sites, or games, or something entirely different like news or odds comparison or bonuses?

And is your focus the same as it used to be, or has it evolved over time? And do you have any plans to change the focus over the coming year?

I focus on game reviews on all of my sites, personally. I advertise the games that people are tempted to go and play in, and I also make sure that along with that, the casinos that I put up are reputable and accepted in general by the public at large. People have different tastes in what games they choose and you need to determine how to target them.

Casino City has more pages on games than on gaming sites. It is not so much that we set out to do that deliberately. At one time we just had information about sites and not games, but about a decade ago we decided that covering games was equally important. We know of a little north of 4,000 online gaming sites, so we have over 4,000 pages devoted to them. But we know of over 11,000 slot games alone, so today we have maybe three times as many pages devoted to games and to gaming sites.

Michael apologies for derailing the thread slightly, but with the amount of content Casino City holds, how do you as a company deal with the inevitable site scraping and stealing of content? Is this something that as an organisation you keep a close watch on, or do you tackle it on a case by case basis as it were?

I think we go like 50%-50%, we like to do complete reviews of sites and games, and if some game variant is on fire we take our piece of that too.

For casino mainly slots, We have I think nearly 2000 in under 3 years? Sports side was mainly games but just redesigned the site and are going mainly for the odds side of things as opposed to previews, tips etc.

We do have some sophisticated custom tools that monitor and block scraping. And I have certainly sent some cease and desist letters, in which I generally note actions we can take, including reporting pages to Google as stolen content that should not be indexed. But, to a certain extent I simply recognize that one cannot stress about it too much because trying to fight all of the hackers out in the wild is mostly an unproductive effort. One of the frequent ways I find out about stolen content is links that remain intact pointing back to our sites showing up as new inbound links.

I have far more slot reviews than casino reviews. I'm also regularly adding news stories and gambling articles, but after reading this thread, I'm wondering if I should focus a bit more on significantly increasing the number game reviews.

In all I devote more pages to sites than games but on my main website it is about even. If I had the time I would put games on all of my websites put it just a time constraint thing right now.
