Question Do you expect your staffing level to change in the next year?

Businesses in every industry go through expansions and contractions, and that is no different in the online gaming industry.

For example, in the last week I noticed three articles about staffing contractions:

Catena Media reduces annual costs by €2.2 million
Better Collective Announces Layoffs Amid Declining Performance
DraftKings to shutter NJ live dealer studio, lay off 101 staff

For this weeks' poll, I ask about your plans. Do you expect your staffing level to change in the next year. Will it increase or decrease? By a lot or by a little?

And please share in a post why you think staffing level changes might be warranted.

We actually hired two new full time people in past 6 months ,mainly as our network needed some major upgrades but these are 1 year contract positions only.

This question probably doesn't directly apply to me due to the small scale of what I am doing. However, I was planning to try getting some assistance at some point next year.

Can't see any permanent staff changes next year, might use more freelance workers for some tasks though to expedite things.

    Great question & poll.

I am sure, that we'll use more freelancers next year. It's easier and more convenient to use them, at least in my line of business - because it offers more flexibility.

I expect the staff to remain the same next year. We may need to hire freelancers for very specific tasks, but we are not considering expanding the team at this time.
