Question Do you feature live dealer gaming on any of your portal sites?

Live dealer gaming has grown in popularity as an offering by online casino sites over time. The numbers have grown as software providers have added it as an option available to operators.

Casino City tries to track trends in the industry, so we've recently begun to identify exactly how many sites offer live dealer gaming. I'm not sure exactly how many operator sites have a live dealer gaming offering yet, but we've done enough research so far to know it is over 100. Once we have completed our initial research within the next few week, we expect to start publishing it on online.casinocity.com.

This project got me thinking that with the rise in popularity and number of sites offering live dealer online gaming, many webmasters here must be providing information about it on their website. How about you? Do you have a section on your website specifically devoted to live dealer gaming? Do you expect to in the future? Besides voting in the poll, share your thoughts about live gaming with your fellow webmasters in this poll.

IMO I really think that live games are amazing when it comes to life time player values. I've been promoting live games since 2005. First, as an affiliate and then as a program director for LiveCasinoPartners.com program. Since then I've seen live games evolve from a small niche to a mainstream product.

For affiliates who are not promoting live games I highly recommend it. The live games are most likely synergistic with your existing content.

Currently there are about 4 main games with dealers from either a studio environment to a casino with video feeds.

If any affiliate has any more questions I might be able to answer please PM me.

I've followed in Adrian's path with the live dealer casino industry and moved from some general casino sites in approx 2009, never looked back!

Player values are higher, the demands are high and the competition isn't unbearable. Why wouldn't anyone be involved in this industry?

Some affiliates still seem to think its a trend, but the fact is that the search volume for 'live casino' is almost as big as 'casino bonuses' and has been for the last 4+ years. Yet 95% of affiliates I know would rather compete for 'casino bonuses', which is A LOT more competitive.

I've got 2 articles coming out soon, one for Income Access entitled 'Three reasons why promoting live casino games is essential to today’s affiliate', this looks at facts, not opinions. The second is 'Optimising your Traffic for Live Casino Products' which tells you what is proven to work for conversions, this will be published in the BAC issue of iGaming Business. I'll post links to these here when published - have a read and get involved!

If you want any stats or to have a look at the articles in advance PM me

    Cheers,
    Dave

Yes we have live dealer casino promotions and comparisons.
No it does not appear to be significant market.

It's a novelty for most players. Try once and move on.

I have a section for it on one of my sites, but I've not spent any real time on it. It's certainly an area I need to look further into.

At Dublinbet.com live games are our core product and what we've built the business on, with the help of fantastic affiliates like Adrian

Although we've been around since 2005 we're still growing so it's not a case of people coming, having a look and then moving on for us. Player retention is really good and we find the opposite to be true, once you play live you never go back to RNG.

There's plenty of room for affiliates too at the moment, as not many major affiliates are featuring it in a big so it's a good time for affiliates to grab a piece of the action.

Live Casino section on our site must be the best section on our site. Also due to the fact that we are operating from a real live casino this works very well for us. Our key element is when players can see other players in our land based casino.

We are busy venturing into this market and I believe this is how the face of online gaming is going to look in the near future. Taking into account that Live Dealer Casinos presents players with better odds than your normal online casinos. As mizzm001 said, it also offers player added interaction trying to emulate a "real" casino environment.

As cass said, seeing other real players from the comfort of their own home improves player retention very much. Also many players who have actually played in our land casino or have friends who played generally tend to come and continue on our site.

I like the idea of having a live dealer section. I've never really done much with that idea, but I think I'll try it out I can imagine that it must appeal to some people, and it sounds like the closest way to play at a casino from your own home. It can't hurt to include a live dealer casino section, and it will also add to the content of your website.

Interesting poll. Only 20 people have voted so far. Not enough to get any significant results. The poll so far would suggest that 80% of the sites offer live dealer content to some degree. I'd be surprised if more than 3% of the gambling related sites offer anything related to the live games. The competition is low, with significant demand. Before starting LCP, I had a competitor in the live gaming niche. You know how it is, you get to know your competitors signatures (web print etc). We finally met at LAC in 2010. He said that the live gaming niche is the best kept secret in the gambling niche. He hoped that no one would pick up on it. The competition is more than before, but not proportional to the growth in the industry.

It's a good time to start promoting them or concentrate more effort on the live games. I'd recommend any of the above programs.

adding a live section is on the top of my list. I didn't add it yet cause I never did it myself. But I've lately heard some gamblers say they like it, and they hardly do anything else once they're into it

I do have one, and I am trying my best to promote it, however it still hasn't caught on as much as I would perhaps have liked it to. Whether people are still sceptical about it I don't know. But I guess only time will tell.

Thinking about adding a section for it, as well as for mobile.

Argh, you see now personally I have only ever used mobile once or twice, so I don't think I would be inclined to add it. As I am not that keen on it myself, so I can't help but think would other people be.

Hey David, Great job. I agree with you 100%
As far as conversion rates are concerned. It's my experience that the conversion rates for live casino traffic is about 30% higher in terms of clicks/signups/depositors when compared to RNG games. This is targeted organic traffic with player "intent" pretty will defined.

Again, great article. Thanks for sharing.
