Define Average Affiliate first, but honestly all sorts of metrics apply.
Why do you want to know? Is it becuase you want to see what potential you have with your setup? - If so let us know what that is and we could make a stab.
There are single affiliates that make £1m + a year and some that make £1k, the same is true of small teams that do really well while others struggle.

I personally do have a full time job, but the profit I make with my websites has also been gradually increasing and seems to (fingers crossed) still be.
Without going too much into numbers - affiliate earnings for the last 12 months (for me) were roughly 20% of my yearly wage.

I left my full-time 2 months ago to fully focus on my own affiliate business. Feels good, but still have to work hard because I cut half of my income by leaving a job.

This has been my full time job since 2005 but it required investment in time and money .We have high payroll expenses so sometimes you need to make $xx,xxx or even $xxx, xxx a month to cover the bills depending on your overhead. I know some who have tried for 10 years and lucky to make $1000 a month even now ,it is not easy at all and there are always new challenges to overcome.

I don't have a traditional 9-to-5 job, but I would say that my main job is being an affiliate because even the gigs I have are related to it. Sometimes I work more hours, other times less, but I value the freedom to manage my own schedule.

I am a full time independent affiliate since many years and would have had not time to do another job if I wanted to succeed as I have done. Anyway, I love what I do and being my own boss, even if sometimes I work more hours than if I was an employee for someone somewhere. However, one thing is for sure, now it's definitely much harder to be a successful affiliate in the igaming industry than it used to be a decade ago.

Yeah, its soo hard now and gets even hardly every month! It was much easier even few years ago when I started in 2020.

I am a full-time affiliate, but it is quite hard to begin, because your need a lot of skill in SEO, website development, management, and it takes a lot of time to get experience to manage all the processes. Also, it is quite hard to find proper keywords with good profit/competition ratio, becaus eyou cannot rank in "best casinos" without significant investments and experienced team, so a fw years you will fins the way on your own mistakes, spend months to find the right brands which convers, the right SEO strategy, etc.

I have a full-time job and work on the site more as a hobby which also brings in a small income (about 10-15%) monthly

This is a real full-time job. We have assembled a large team and are making big plans for Euro-24 and the Copa America.

Working in this industry is my full time job and I thoroughly enjoy every day. There are so many opportunities and challenges that make each day exciting.
I came out of a very early retirement from a major international FMCG company a few years ago. Wish I got involved much earlier.
Sure. I have a full time job. I am a casino expert. I like it. I can confidently say, this is also my hobby.
Since I have experience in Website Development and SEO, I was able to create a website that provide me a reasonable income, but to get to this point take a lot of time and effort.

I started as being an affiliate next to my full-time job. But the last 12 years I have been a full time affiliate with consultancy work next to it![]()
I added a poll to this thread so we could feature it as the poll of the week. Thank you Womanpower.
In the poll I said I was a full-time affiliate because running an affiliate business is my full-time job. Although that is not actually quite right. Certainly we are an affiliate ourselves running the Casino City family of websites, but we also operate a publishing business (Casino City Press), provide web hosting and web development services to others and operate the GPWA. And those parts of the business are not based on affiliate revenue.
